Chapter 31

Later that week, you have herbology out near the forbidden forest to identify some plants. You had to collect Asphodel and then use it for something else. But you had forgotten what. Professor Sprout told you, not to go near the forest for collecting plants just near the edge. You and Hermione and Ron were put in a group together luckily.

'Right, let's all look for it then' Hermione called out scanning the grass below her.                                  

' I'll check the bushes' you reply as Ron just stood next to Hermione. As you looked at the bush they were right next to the edge of the forest. You then happened to spot one only a few feet inside the forest. You then walked in hoping that Professor Sprout didn't see you. As you walked in, it was darker but warmer. You walked towards the plant kneeling down, looking both right and left. Eventually digging out the plant and grasping it in your hands. You then were walking back to Hermione and Ron when you saw something move behind a tree. You saw a person's shadow on the floor of the forest. Black mist coming from that direction. As you walked towards the side to get a closer look, hoping it was just an animal. You saw a hand touching the tree branch.  

'I know your there' you say confidently 'you've been following me for days now'

'come here and ill tell you why' the voice replied. ' Expelliarmus' they called out hitting the spell towards you. You quickly dodged it.

You stood there, you were now too deep in the forest for anyone to see you. You then quickly took a book out of your pocket in your robe. You slowly backed away reading it.  You kept an eye on the figure it was as if it started coming closer. You flicked through the pages and then stopped at one.

'I don't want to hurt you, I jus' He began

'Sectumsempra' you yelled with your wand, shooting the spell write at his arm. You then heard a loud thud on the ground. You saw the person behind it on the floor with blood on it, they were wearing a mask.

'OW' the man let out a scream.

You ran back towards the class hoping you hadn't killed anyone.

'I got the Asphodel' you say handing it to Ron.

'Got worried there a second' Ron replies touching its petals.

The great hall...

It was now a free study session in the great hall, you dedicated that time to figure out what you saw earlier this morning. You would bet your broom that it might have been a death eater. You tried drawing a sketch of it. Then describing it hoping it would match other descriptions in the books that you didn't read. You found nothing.  'Masks' you whispered to yourself. It was wearing a mask and you read something about that somewhere. You looked through the 'Death eaters and all about them'. After minutes of searching, you found the page you were looking for.

'Each Death eater has their own special mask that they wear'  you read under your breath. Now you were totally convinced a death eater was following you. Which terrified you, were they going to kill you?

' What are you drawing?' Harry asked next to you

'Nothing' you reply quickly 

'Ok, is that research for the essay' He asked as if he could you some help.

'Essay?' you ask worriedly

'The one lupin gave us' Harry said putting his quill down.

'Damn it, I haven't started it. Great, I'm going to have to do it later' You say remembering.

'What's all those papers anyways' He points at the one your holding then taking one in front of you.

'Do you mind' You say frustratedly taking it back. No one could know what you were doing. You didn't know it was because you sounded crazy or was too embarrassed to talk about an incident that happened years ago. You know wanted to know how to protect yourself now. If they were after you were they after your parents...again?

'Oh um,' He says awkwardly as you then take a quill and underline something.

'What are you doing?' Ron asks looking at Harry.

'Just reading' you reply playing it cool.

'Can I see what you're reading?' Ron says as he knows you're up to something. 

'Um, you wouldn't like it anyways' you say packing all the loose papers in your bag. Leaving only a book in front of you.

'I might' Ron said standing up. 

'Excuse me, well I have someplace to be now. And can you not take a hint both of you' You say standing up angrily closing the book and making your way out the great hall.

I know this may not be the best chapter I've written, I promise the next one will be much better.
