Finally, it was summer. What a hectic school year it had been. You and Lewis were walking down the street up to your house. You both needed a break, a chance to relax. Although, everything would be stranger and different. Mom wasn't around anymore. You both came to a stop outside the door of your house. 'Lewis! can you please be patient?' You snarl at your brother who was in a rush.
'Lewis can you please be patient!' Lewis mimics you, rolling his eyes. You sigh ringing the doorbell. A minute passes and nobody comes to the door. 'You didn't ring the bell properly y/n/n'
'Wh- you do it then' you argue stepping to the side. Lewis then presses the button, you can hear the doorbell ring. But no reply. You then wrap your hand around the door handle. Opening the door. No one was home. You walk in perplexed looking at your brother. You both placed your trunks next to the door. Lewis searched downstairs while you went upstairs. 'Dad?' you say looking in all the rooms. No, dad.
'Hey, y/n get down here!' Lewis calls for you at the bottom of the stairs. You hurry down. A parchment in Lewis's hand. He hands it to you and you skim it.
I'm sorry.
I'll see you back in a few months
Dad
'Wow. So our father is a no show' You say rolling your eyes disappointedly. You needed him the most right now. But you would be just fine on your own.

'It's been a week' Lewis calls out randomly as he sat bored on the sofa. Lewis had uncanny mood swings every now and then. Or sudden bursts of anger. He would leave the house a lot. He wouldn't talk to you about his feelings or at all somedays, honestly, you did the same.
'He said a few months not a week' You say re-calling the letter from memory. You were in the kitchen attempting to cook dinner. The whole of last week had been take out and just pizza. 'Go out, do something. Make friends' You suggest.
'But I already have friends' Lewis argues standing up. He was wearing a plain black hoodie and ripped jeans. He put the hood over his head fixing his hair in the mirror. His hair had grown, long but not too long. 'I'll be back in an hour tops' Lewis says to you and puts his shoes on and leaves the house. The door closes, you can see him walking out towards the town center from the window. You carefully read the recipe for lasagna. Your mother's legendary lasagna. She would make it all the time. It was hard being on your own.
You hear the doorbell ring. 'Did you forget something Lewis?' you call opening the front door. It wasn't Lewis. A boy with blonde hair. Not William. A boy with platinum blonde hair. He looks at you and quickly comes into the house. Closing the door behind him. Taking a moment to catch his breath.
'Blondie?' you say obscure.
'If anyone asks about me I'm not here' Malfoy says running his hands through his hair. You nod in reply.
'How did you know where I live?'
'It's a long story y/n/dm' Malfoy says walking into your kitchen. And grabs a glass of water.
'So c-can I help you?'
'I just need a place to crash for a few days. If you don't mind' Malfoy says taking deep breaths. He obviously had been running away or something.
'Sure. It's not like I have parents who can say no' You say smiling to yourself. Malfoy then looks at your house admiring it. He smiled a little. Malfoy walks over to you. Observing what was going on in the kitchen. He raises his eyebrows. He looks at you as if he was trying to hold back a smile. He picks up the cookbook and reads it carefully. 'So you're making lasagna?'
