His Royal Guard - Taekook Love Story

44 - We Need More Information.

The ball and the dinner party was well on the way to a success. The king and queen looked radiant and the prince looked even more so. So many people wanted to talk with him and Jungkook was getting irritated by the second.

He stood close to the prince, ignoring the annoyed looked he sometimes got from Taehyung's wanna be pursuers. It was easy to ignore competition when you know very well that the prince belongs to him. They may try to flirt with him now but at the end of the night, he's the one who's going to be in prince's arms.

Taehyung knows that his baby is getting irritated but there's nothing he can do about the situation. As the crown prince of the country, he is expected to behave in a certain way and he can't just disregard them.

He's not worried though. Taehyung knows how to make it up to Jungkook. Taehyung smiled to himself as he thought about just what he will do to his guard tonight and the man who he was talking with thought that he's smiling because of him.

From the corner of his eyes, Taehyung saw captain Hoseok entering the ball room. One look at him was enough for Taehyung to realize that Hoseok had something important to say. Something very important that Taehyung himself was the one who sent the captain to find it.

Taehyung quickly excused himself from the foreign prince he was talking with and made Jungkook answer his questions about the fight. He could see the surprised look on Jungkook's face but there wasn't any time to dwell on that.

He quickly followed Hoseok who led them in to a empty room.

"So, what did you find?" Taehyung asked in an urgent tone.

"They are not talking at all, your highness. Either they don't know anything or they are shit scared. I think it's the second one." Hoseok answered with a sigh.

"Do we even know whether Jungkook is the intended target?"

"We got nothing to actually confirm it but I would say it very likely, your highness. The way all of them positioned themselves to that one fight and they were not afraid to get killed for it either."

Taehyung gave a nod at that.

"It's almost as if they knew how good he is at combat. No one would have had a chance with him one on one. It had to be one against atleast ten." Taehyung said with an uneasy tone.

"Yes, and there were total 46 of them.  I'd say it's a damn good plan, would have been definitely successful if your highness hadn't noticed it in time." Hoseok added to that.

"But why would anyone want to kill him? Does he even have any enemies?" Taehyung asked with a groan.

"I don't know. He has a pretty normal life. The only thing.... uhhh... special about him is.. uhhh..."

Hoseok didn't complete his sentence but Taehyung knew what he was going to say. The only thing in Jungkook's life that could have earned him an enemy, is Taehyung.

"There's one more thing I noticed, your highness." Hoseok said and Taehyung gave a nod for him to continue.

"One of the men I.. uhh... talked with had a slight accent. It was very subtle and I can't be even hundred percent sure, but I think it's from prince Kai's country."

"Kai??!!" Taehyung thundered and Hoseok gave a nod.

"But like I said, your highness, I'm not sure."

Taehyung thought for a second. Prince Kai was supposed to be here tonight with his father but his sister came instead. Maybe he should enquire why.

If that bastard is indeed responsible for this, Taehyung didn't know what he would do. He just can't get his head around the fact that Jungkook might be in danger because of him.
