Series Six. Episode Three. Jagged Little Tapestry

THE ALUMNI HAD HAPPILY AGREED TO STAY AN EXTRA WEEK TO HELP OUT THE GLEE CLUB GET ON IT'S FEET. Which Rachel and Kurt were extremely grateful for. As was Ruby who selfishly was just happy to spend more time with Puck and Santana before they disappeared for God knows how long again. But for now she was going to lap up their company as much as she could.

After a fairly embarrassing introduction for the week on behalf of Kurt and Rachel having a tiff in front of the kids. The lesson for the week was to produce the perfect mash up of songs from two of the most iconic albums ever. Carole King's Tapestry and Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pill.

The glee club were currently gathered in the auditorium awaiting the performance of Jane and Mason's mash up and to see what the two newbies had come up with for their assignment.

Heading onto the stage Ruby looked around for a spot to park her self in when she realised the only space left was next to Sam. So nervously making her way over, Ruby sent him a shy smile as she plonked herself down next to him as Jane and Mason made their way to the front for their interpretation of the assignment.

Finding herself enamoured by the two kids singing. Ruby couldn't help herself but to feel drawn to the boy next to her. How could she not when all she was wandering, was if he still loved her as much as she loved him still. The question whirling around in her head like it was the only thing she knew, turning to take a peek at him she found him already with his eyes on her.

The two ex lovers found themselves not being able to tear their eyes away from one another until they heard their friends start to applaud Jane and Mason. Pulling them out of their trance, they started to clap as Rachel giddily make her way to the pair.

"Great job you guys. I love the enthusiasm and the emotion. Great kickoff performance!"  Rachel congratulated them. "What was your inspiration for picking those songs?"

"Well actually we were inspired by Ruby and Mr Puckerman's performance last week. How beautiful it was, we wanted to do something equally as beautiful."  Jane explained.

Ruby pointed at Puck teasingly, Puck sending her a wink back in response. Yep they've still got it! But before Mason could carry on his explanation, everyone's attention was interrupted as Sam scrambled to his feet and stormed out of the auditorium. Once the door slammed shut; everyone's eyes were now flitting between Ruby and Puck.

"I'll go then shall I?"  Ruby mumbled as she got up and ran after Sam.

Finding him in his office next to the boy's locker room. Ruby crossed her arms and looked at him waiting for an answer. "What was all that about? Why did you just storm out of there for? That was so disrespectful to Mason and Jane."

Whipping his head up so his eyes were on her, he glared at her for a moment before he managed to finally answer her but it wasn't the answer she was hoping for. "Oh I'm sorry did I embarrass you in front of your new boyfriend?"  He rolled his eyes.
