Chapter 11: Two Sides

(And, we are back! Who's ready for more insane adventures with lawyers?! Also, those leaks are real! Ace Attorney 7 is real, and I'll be able to play the Great Ace Attorney where they renamed Sherlock as Herlock! (I'm still calling him Sherlock and this won't affect my theory video I posted). But for now, let's enjoy the story! Also, I consider season 1 Phoenix's season. Guess who season 2 is going to focus on?

(Phoenix's POV)

Kurian Village, Outside Patio

January 20th, 11:30 AM

                  Chief needed my help along with Makoto's at her hometown. Her hometown is very old and traditional. Chief wanted our help to look after Pearl and Maya. Not sure why though, but I am willingly to help out if I can.

"Wow! This is going to be so much fun!" Hagakure exclaimed as he ran around the village.

He is just like Larry... I didn't think that was even possible, but I suppose humanity decided there needed to be more people like Larry. Survival of the fittest is surely looking grim.

"I'm sorry. Mr. Wright... But we do have a report to write about something not normally in our respective fields. Spirit channeling is something we both don't know. I didn't want him as my partner, but he was the only one left" Makoto said in defeat.

I patted his shoulder. Have fun dealing with him, Makoto. I am not going to even bother with that.

"Mr. Nick! Mr. Maka! It is nice to see you again!" Pearl shouted as she rushed over to us.

"Hello there, Pearl. How are you?" I greeted warmly as Hagakure gasped and rushed towards the garden.

"Excuse me, but I need to stop him before he does something stupid! Be right back!" Makoto exclaimed as he gave chase to his friend.

I just sighed. This is going to be a long weekend. Pearl looked at me for a moment as I kneeled before her.

"So, where are your cousins? I know we just arrived, but I would like to check in with chief" I said to her.

"Oh! Sure thing, Mr. Nick!" Pearl said as she took my hand and led me to the temple room.

I grinned as I entered the room to see chief talking with someone I didn't know. She had large black hair and wore a black kimono as well.

"Tch, as if your sister can really be in charge of the clan. Such idiocy" she said to chief.

I get the feeling I walked into a conversation that I shouldn't be a part of. Then, someone was behind me and wearing a similar outfit to that of Maya and Pearl, but with a white headscarf on. She and I both shared a look and then I gasped! She looks so familiar! No, it couldn't be, could it?

"Iris! Who is that man with you? What are you doing here?" the lady snarled as she turned her attention to us.

Crap! Think Phoenix!

"That is my employee, Phoenix Wright" chief said with pride in her voice.

That seemed to have kept the lady quiet. She then turned her attention to Iris.

"Come Iris. We have work to do ourselves" she said seriously as they left.

Dang it! I wanted to talk to Iris. I can't believe it is her. After high school, I lost touch with her. I wished I would've lost touch with her twin and Larry, but that it not how life works.

"Don't worry, Phoenix. She won't bother you. So, what is going on?" chief asked as Pearl ran towards us.

"Oh! I was just looking for you! Sorry about this! I didn't mean to intrude!" I shouted in defense as she shook her head.
