Chapter 14: The Interpol Case

(Another chapter is here, and this will be a huge favorite I think. We introduced the Layton series which is canon because fo the crossover! My favorite Layton is referenced, we get to see more of Galar, and we get to see some more powers! Ok, the reason why Sebastian and Franziska don't have their normal game outfits is because I personally didn't like it. I don't feel like Sebastian would wear his school uniform like Klavier all the time, so I gave him a new outfit. As for Franziska, I just hate her puffy shoulders. I don't understand it, so I used her old outfit with some styles of her current outfit. With that, enjoy!)

Motostoke City, Budew Drop Inn

January 20th, 11:30 PM

(Miles's POV)

                        With that, I faced the two young teens with a serious expression.

"Now then, why are you both here in my room? Is there something else going on in this city?" I asked them seriously as I crossed my arms over my chest and tapped my finger against the left side of my arm.

Sebastian began to panic as he gripped his baton. He was shaking in place as he began to cry. Did I overdo it? I really don't want to make children cry... I felt another strike from Franziska's whip as I flinched away.

"Now, look what you have done, you fool! You have made this foolish child cry!" Franziska snapped at me as I sighed in defeat.

"Seb... Calm down... You're ok..." Kay said in a mumble as she woke up and rubbed her eyes.

She then walked over to him and patted his shoulder.

"Don't worry. You did your best. It is ok..." she said as she slowly woke up from her sleepy state.

She then turned to face us with a grin. She took in a deep breath before she twirled around and then adjusted her glove. Her hair was tied up and held by a key and a raven like pin. She wore a pink shirt and dark blue skirt with shorts sticking down. She wore brown boots and had a satchel which held her gadgets and tools. She had a dark pink scarf wrapped around her neck. What is she up too now?

"Even in the depths of night, when no other bird dares to take flight, one alone soars to shine the light of righteousness on the world's blight! And that one is me! For I am the Great Thief Detective Yatagarasu, Kay Faraday!" she introduced dramatically, "And this is her partner, the Best Prosecutor Sebastian Debeste! The two of us are working with Interpol to solve the Art Smuggling Case!"

Well, that was quite the introduction. I didn't expect that, but then again, she is 16, and to my knowledge, he just turned 18 and graduated from Themis Academy. How on earth did these two get a job at Interpol and a case like this?

"It wasn't that hard, actually" Sebastian said as he raised his baton and stopped crying, "My pop is the best prosecutor, so naturally, I should be the best at something too. I decided to work for Interpol. It was under Justice Justine Courtney's recommendations"

Justice Justine Courtney? That makes sense. I've heard that she is an amazing judge with a strong sense of justice. If she saw something in him, then it must be something spectacular. I expect that this child will now answer the other question regarding to Miss Faraday.

"Kay was an orphan after the mysterious death of her father" Sebastian said as he glanced at his partner nervously.

"I can take it from her, Seb. Don't worry about it" Kay said calmly as she patted his shoulder, "After my dad died, I went to live with Detective Tryell Badd and was even looked after by Agent Shi Long Lang. The two of them taught me everything they knew about being a detective, solving crimes, and self-defense as well! I'm am an amazing detective if I do say so myself"
