The Battle Begins

For a moment everything slowed down as valeriana watched her friends dive into the chaos, she saw puffs of black mist everywhere as more an more demons fell she needed to snap out of this she'd being in battles before why was this any different?, it was because her friends where here and any of them could die.

she held ouranos in her hand preparing to dive in herself just then she heard a screech behind her she turned to see a demon dog like humanoid creature with it claws over her head only it it wasn't moving because it had a sword through its chest, it was pull out and the demon puffed into dust to reveal Joan starring at her a stern look on her face

" Don't think " was all she said charging back into battle val snapped out of her shock nodding her head, she couldn't die corvan was waiting for her.

The demons kept pouring in their numbers unimaginable Val couldn't tell how many she had killed she could see them hurdling there self's at the fortress only to get shot down she was starting to feel tired and dehydrated  all the constant fight wasn't helping.

" The blood will prevail!" Another demon shouted before she struck it down

" I swear to the gods if I hear those words one more time the next demon I kill will have a very agonizing death! " Tamara growled to her left kicking a demon in the face as she pulled her weapon out of another before charging forward  Val losing sight of her again in the sea of demons Val laughed at how she had gotten into a rythm fighting this long , these demons where nothing really sepecial they came forward and they got killed just like Joan said they were sent to die . Some time she would come across some of her friends and they'll share a few words and then disappear.

" How are they this many!" Someone screamed and she recognized keelan voice only she was too engaged with three demons to look at him.

The first one charged at her leaping to pounce on her before she could think her body went into motion swiftly rolling under him quickly getting on her feet and swing her sword behind her connecting with the demons neck cutting it off while still having the momentum to side step the other demon and with a short dagger stabbing it in the chest she taught she would look very cool right now like she was in a scene of an action movie taking down two attackers at once but when she remembered how sweaty and tired she was she  shook her head before she could turn to the third one she saw keelan cave in it's head with a rock and couldn't help but cringe

" I would give anything for food right now am starving" he said through panting  breaths stabing a demon coming from the side " how long has it been?"

" Too long?" Val shrugged evading a stray arrow that whizzed past her face logging it's head into a demon  she turned to see a straight faced brindon running from a demon two times his size

"Sorry" he said as he ran past her turning around when he was some distance away and shooting an arrow through the demons head

" Watched out!" Val cried as a demon pounced from behind just then keelan had already swung a rock at the demon

" Are you okay?" He call to his friend running to him brindon just nodded

" There not letting up and we're getting weaker I think we should form teams" Val said and they agreed

" That's a good idea" keelan said pulling a passing raziel bye his collar  " we're forming team to fight together look for the others" he said and they began fighting ,soon they where complete

" How are they this many?" Elfre asked

" The attacks of the villages were to corrupt people , people we're killing now" Joan explained " just hold on a while longer they'll soon sound the whistle for a switch there are kinghts heading here for the camp and some still remain in the  fortress" she reminded them and they sighed in relief just then a shape whistle sound blew in the are the fortress doors opened and more knights rushed out
