Earlier that day:
Axl's POV
"How'd it go then?" I asked, looking deep into Vince's eyes.

The test results were out.

That I had been prepping Vince for for months.

I offered to help him after we met in class.

But I told a slight lie telling him that was the reason I wanted to spend time with him.

Butterflies swarmed my insides when Vince's eyes looked right back into mine.

"I passed" Vince said, pausing. Passed? Scrape a pass? Or what?
I looked at him, edging him to go on.
"I GOT A 98!" He yelled, bring me into his arms, hugging me while I got a sharp inhale of his cologne as I felt his slim but muscular arms wrap round me.

I plastered on a smile, while I congratulated him.

Why you ask?

As Vince is doing his adorable victory dance, I'll tell you.

Vince failed the first time he did this which meant I could continue tutoring him. Now he's passed, I'll barely ever see him.

"Oh my Gosh, I'm so happy for you!" I said, trying to actually sound sincere, however selfish that sounded.

Vince's eyes locked mine as we stared at each other, feeling a spark of electricity run down my body.

Not saying anything, the room totally silent, I could almost hear my own heartbeat thumping against my chest, praying to god he didn't feel it either.

He can not tell me he didn't feel that as well?

No no.

I couldn't be feeling these things.

He's just a friend!

Vince was straight.

As far as I knew.

But sadly, the eye contact broke.

I thought it would eventually.

I can't say I have the best luck when it comes to guys.

1 year ago:
15 year old Axl had zoned out during lunch as his friends went on and on about girls. But his trance of his own chain was broken when he felt a nudge.

He looked over to his right hand sighed at one of his friends, Jayden, whom was looking at him with a weird grin. Even for Jayden, that look was odd.

"What?" Axl asked, whilst tapping gently on his rock hard garlic bread from their school canteen.

"I think Lydia likes youuuu" he sang, nudging me with his elbow, wiggling his eyebrows up and down. But not before removing Axl's hand from the garlic bread, taking a massive bite.

Gosh, him and Alex would really get on.

Axl subtly turned around to the table where, but not before he scanning the canteen, he saw Alex with a girl on his lap.

Of course.

He glanced over at Lydia.

No doubt, she was gorgeous.

She had beautiful dark skin and with thick black hair which was always tied up in two space bun-type things. She smiled her cute perfect-pearly white teeth at him while he politely smiled back.

Lydia and him were actually good friends, they had several classes together and unlike some girls he had come across, she actually had a very beautiful personality.
