I walked into the house stunned. "Savitar?" Bags were strewn everywhere throughout the living room. He popped his head from behind a sofa and grinned at her. "Hi!" Wow, he was in a good mood.

I knew I should have shut my mouth to not take that grin off of his face. There's this saying that says "don't say anything if you can't say anything nice." That doesn't work for her. When I open my mouth, I knew it wasn't going to be something nice. This is the first time they've been talking since they got to Spain after all.

"What in the world is going on here?" I stepped into the living room. The fireplace was lit. Which cast warmth and glow around the room. My voice quiet and raspy. He didn't notice it.

"I went to do some shopping. I need new clothes, but—" his face lit up. "I bought some clothes for you too that you might like. I mean you always dress like a high school principal—your taste in fashion is bad."

I picked up some of the outfits. They were pretty nice and fancy she has to admit. Which means it would have been expensive. And there were not just one or two outfits. There were a lot of them. I opened and closed my mouth like a fish. He took that as a sign of speechlessness. I was speechless but not in a good way.

He watched me for a moment. I could feel his eyes on me. "You like it?" He asked, still grinning.

"Where did you get the money to buy these? Last I checked you didn't have a job or any sort of income. Unless you miraculously got a job here while I was out—which I highly doubt."

His grin fell off. I felt like someone who just took away candy from a child. But she knew this was the right thing to do. He shouldn't be stealing money and falling back into his old habits, no matter how pure his intentions were.

He looked away from her and went to the bags, picking some up. "I picked a random house from the neighborhood—well the nicest looking one besides this—and borrowed some money. I thought of going to a bank at first, but banks are messy."

"Relax I'll pay them back some way when I have money of my own." He said quickly when he saw my face.

"Yeah? Tell that to the people that you "borrowed" money from. Savitar there are rules and laws that you have to follow. You can't just go to a random house and steal money. Just because you're a speedster, doesn't give you the privilege!"

We stared at each other in silence. Me breathing heavily. It was so quiet that I could hear the clock ticking from a nearby wall. The fire crackled impatiently as if waiting for one of us to break the silence and tension.

I babbled on nervously. I didn't even know why I was nervous, but I was also frustrated. "Look, if you wanted new clothes, you should have asked me and I could buy some for you with my money—"

"By all means, if you don't like them, feel free to throw them in the fire." He interrupted his expression hardening.

I shook my head furiously and shut my eyes for a moment. "It's not that—don't you get it? I know your intentions are pure, but you can't fall back to your old habits again, not when you came here for a fresh start...I want things to be better for you Savitar."

"I'm not the person I was Caitlin!" His face flushed. "Can't you see that? Stop treating me like a criminal or someone you have to fix! That's not your job and you're not obligated to fix me!" His eyes bored into hers and his mouth was set in a hard line. I could see him clenching his fists.

"What's that supposed to mean—"

"It means maybe you shouldn't have come to Spain with me after all. You never once asked me what I want or how I feel. You do things your way. I'm not Barry, Caitlin. I'm not perfect and you should stop trying to make me into a person I'm not. Don't try to turn me into Barry." He glowered at her and finally looked away, bending down to pick up the bags.

I could feel the color draining out of my face. For once I was completely speechless. Is that what he thought of her all this time? Had she been unintentionally making things worse for him?

"I wasn't trying to turn you into him. I thought I was helping you...I'm sor—" I was almost apologizing to him but I wavered. I was suddenly furious. How dare he turn things around like this and make her the bad person? How dare he insult her like this when all she's done is help him, and have the purest intentions and want what's best for him?! She was the only one who has been there for him this whole time and this is how he repays her kindness?

"If it satisfies you, I will return these clothes and money to the rightful owners," he was saying, still gathering the bags.

I walked up to him, right into his personal space, and stood right in front of him. We were only inches apart. He looked up and blinked in surprise but didn't move back.

"All this time... this whole time since Barry brought you back to S.T.A.R Labs, I have been there for you. I was the only friend you had." I spoke slowly, enunciating every word.

"So you don't get to insult me like this when all I've done is to help you and have your best interest. You can disagree about the way I do things but you don't get to manipulate me. I'm not going to apologize to you if that's what you want. I've done nothing wrong. You don't get to stand there, and make me the bad person when you're the one..." I wavered and our gazes met. I knew I over-said things and some words you can't take back when it's too late.

"When I'm what?" His voice was quiet, almost gentle. He was smiling but that didn't fool me. I hurt him. I saw the look in his eyes. It disappeared quickly but I saw it.

He slowly picked up the bags he had set down earlier when I walked up to him. He took his time but he didn't break eye contact with me. He went to the front door. She knew he could just speed away but he didn't. He glanced back at her one more time before disappearing.
