I couldn't believe what Lila just told me. I had a brother one I never knew of. What have my parents been concealing from me?

Lila had gotten me a notebook and a whiteboard to make communicating with her easier. She also witnessed a few of my nightmares. I knew she was probably going to tell my brother, and he'd see how damaged I am. He wouldn't want me, once he takes a good look at me he'll realize that I am not worth it.

I was staring at my reflection in the bathroom mirror. My shoulder-length raven hair was dull. The dark circles under my eyes made my once vibrant eyes look dead. I always wondered where I got the color of my eyes because my parents both had brown eyes. What was underneath my clothes made me want to puke, every time I saw my body with no clothing that tough girl act that I had was gone.

No one knew the extent of my long term physical and emotional abuse because my past caseworker never bothered. If the system had Lila's around everything would be good for foster kids. I was meeting my brother in about an hour, I wanted to look presentable to lessen the mess I was.

I dug into the plastic bag that held all of my belongings looking for the best clothes I own. I chose a black hoodie and some blue jeans that fit a little too big on me, and I paired them with my trusty black converse.

Once I walked out of this room to meet him, I would close the door to my past. The thing is that no matter how much I try to run away from it, it will always catch up to me.

"Come on honey, we are going to meet him in the offices to get the paperwork done." She gave me a warm smile and I nodded. She ushered me out of the house I held all my belongings which wasn't much.

We had arrived at the building I was sitting on this white uncomfortable chair that squeaked every time I moved. I drummed my find fingers on the wooden desk. Lila was inside the office with my brother talking. I still hadn't seen him, I was getting more impatient by the minute.

Trust is not something that comes easy to me. Do I trust my brother? Absolutely not I am giving him the benefit of the doubt. I mean he is taking me in when he has no reason to do so.

I have so many unanswered questions that he could have answers to. I want to feel free from all the burdens I carry. To leave the person that I am in Montana and become the person that I so desperately want to be.

3rd POV:

Adrik and Lila sat in the office discussing Anastasia. Lila explained that her file indicated that Anastasia stopped speaking at the age of 9. She also said that there might be a possibility that it happened earlier, but every time Lila asked Anastasia she just shut down. She also informed him that she would shut down whenever someone brought up her past.

Adrik grew frustrated by this information because he felt useless. He had gotten the DNA test and it did show that they were full siblings, so that meant that Jelena lied about the miscarriage.

"I do have to warn you that Anastasia does have nightmares, I suggest that you think about therapy for her maybe art therapy," Lila suggested as she slid some pamphlets over.

What Lila was saying was just the overview of what Anastasia had gone through and what she was still dealing with. However, they did not know the extent of her pain, and there was a chance that they would never know.

Anastasia sat outside oblivious of what was being discussed inside the room. All she knew was that Lila was going to tell Adrik about the nightmares because they were bad. Lila and Adrik got up ready to head to the airport. All the brothers had found out about her and made accommodations at their home. Lila had to go to Chicago to make sure that the home was suitable for Anastasia to live in. Adrik did not know how his brothers were feeling about the sudden appearance of their sister. He could not get ahold of their father, so he did not know what was currently going on.

Anastasia heard the door open and she was met with a tall man that looked like a male version of her. She had never seen someone with those eyes they were exactly like hers. They did not doubt in their mind that they were related.

She couldn't help but stare he was 6'4 black sleek hair and he was muscular overall very intimidating. She was 5'8 and considered herself to be tall. The staring contest was broken by his voice.

"Hello, Anastasia it's nice to meet you."
