Fu Gui gulped and gasped his clothes tightly. He was already scared beyond his wits. He hadn't entered the hall yet but still could feel immense pressure coming from there.

After many events, Fu Gui's family finally decided to be a bit more lenient on Qin Junqian. Today, they had come to greet and thank the Emperor for bestowing the Imperial edict.

Greeting the Emperor went very fine. Fu Gui never expected him to be such a nice person. He excused his lack of etiquette and also gave him some sweet cakes to eat and some other good-looking gifts. Guess people were wrong when they said that all those men on the highest throne are evil.

Surprisingly, the Empress was also especially 'kind'. She also said nice things and gifted him many things.

Oh... Little baby Fu Gui, if only you knew why the Empress was so happy!

Fu Gui took a deep breath and recited the stuff his mother told him to do. He was going to meet vix... NO... His future mother-in-law!!! He had to be as perfect as he could be!

Qin Junqian looked at Fu Gui's slightly puffed cheeks and determined expression and his heart melted in a puddle of water as he smiled foolishly. His Ah-Gui is so damn cute!

He pinched his Ah-Gui's cheek as they couldn't kiss in the Imperial Palace ah.

"Ah-Gui, don't act so cute. Or else I'll kiss you."

Fu Gui blushed like crazy and looked down. He was looking as if he was being bullied. So so so cute!

Junqian laughed and said,

"It's alright. Just be yourself. I'll protect you no matter what happens."

"Really?" Fu Gui lifted his head and asked pitifully.

Junqian replied as his eyes couldn't hold his love for Fu Gui,

"Really really really!"

The guards, "..............." You guys are really capable of making the Imperial Noble Consort look like the biggest villain ever. Nice.

Junqian tightly grasped Fu Gui's hand and gestured to the Eunuch to announce their presence.

"Greetings to the Imperial Noble Consort." He greeted the Imperial Noble Consort as Fu Gui also did the same.

Li NanYin snorted and said to Fu Gui, "You! You are already this disgraceful. Don't you know that you're in need to bow and greet me. What did your parents teach you?"

Fu Gui trembled at her voice. He felt like he was about to cry. But strangely, he didn't.

He was just about to kneel when Junqian stopped him from doing that.

Junqian was frowning.

"The son of the Emperor and his Prince Consort are never in need to bow down to anyone except for the Emperor himself. Fu Gui is being as respectful as he should be."
