Severo had come back, dragging Stiles out of the room and leaving behind the two girls. Araya had claimed she wanted to speak with the both of them, taking them outside to what seemed to be the womans porch. Venus and Lydia were sat side by side in front of the huntress, a plate of fruits and bread set out in front of them.

The girls watching on as she tilted her teapot and filling a cup with its contents, before proceeding to fill cups for the two girls but neither of them touched any of what was offered to them.

"I have to admit, I don't have much experience with Banshees and Nymphs." Araya set down the ceramic pot, taking a sip from her cup.

"That makes two of us." Lydia sighs. "I don't have much experience being one."

"I have a feeling you underestimate your abilities, Lydia."

"Trust me, you'd have better luck with tarot cards."

"I wish I could tell you she was kidding." Venus speaks, raising her eyebrows at the woman.

"Let's find out." the older woman hums. "Tell me, which of these men is about to die?"

The brunette girls eyes widen as she realises what she registers what Araya was asking of Lydia. The girl herself turning to look at the men in fear as the huntress picks up a knife.

"How does it work?" she asks, twisting the knife around an orange. "Do you need to touch them? Maybe I give you something they own. Or is it just a- a feeling?"

"I told you, I don't know."

"And you, Venus, will you feel it?"

"The desert isn't really my place." the girl shrugs nonchalantly.

The woman hums before turning back to Lydia. "Just how close to death do they have to be?"

Venus catches sight of her finger tapping on the knifes blade and picking it up. The Nymph didn't have time to react before the knife is lodged in one of the mens chests, making Lydia let out a scream.

"What did you do that for?" the strawberry blonde breathes, not taking her eyes off the dying man. Venus couldn't even move from the chair, her eyes boring into Arayas face.

The older woman gives the Banshee a calm smile. "He stole from me."

"Just tell us what you want, Araya." Venus speaks sternly.

"I want to know about Scott Mccall. I want to know what kind of alpha he really is.

"Getting a little too handsy there, buddy." Venus grunts as Severo pulls the door open, revealing the rest of her friends. The man holding her roughly shoves her into the disgusting bathroom, Stiles catching her as she stumbles. She could hear Isaac arguing with the men as they drag Scott and Kira out of the room.

"You okay?" Stiles places his hands on her shoulder, checking her over. "What did she want? Where's Lydia?"

Venus takes a breath to compose herself. "I'm fine, she just talked about how she doesn't know much about me or Lydia, who's still with Araya."

"Well what are we supposed to do now?" Isaac speaks from the other side of the room where he was stood next to Malia.

"Can you hear them?" Stiles asks. "What they're saying? What she wants with them?"

"There's too much noise, I can't concentrate." Malia admits, turning to Isaac.

"I think they're killing him." the boy reveals, his eyebrows furrowing. "We should've listened to your dad."

"Isaac, what are they saying?"

"She's asking him who took Derek."

"Is she stupid?" Malia snorts. "That's exactly why we're here."

"I don't understand."

"What? What are they saying?" Stiles presses.

"Kate." Isaac whispers, looking at the human boy.

Stiles takes a step back in disbelief. "That's not possible. That can't be what he said."

"Why? Who's Kate?" Malia asks, the question on Venus' mind as well.

"She's a hunter. An Argent." Allison's aunt. Venus had heard about her before but she was never told the full story, what she did know was that she was supposed to be dead.

•••

Araya had let them go shortly after, the four of them reunited with their three friends back under the scorching sun. Venus was leaned against the front of the jeep next to Malia, playing with hem of her dress, all of them waiting patiently for Scott to finish his conversation with Araya.

"So why can't we leave people behind as humans?" Malia asks the Nymph, slightly shocking her. The two girls had formed a close bond since she was released from Eichen, Venus usually having been around all the time when Scott was helping her learn all things supernatural.

Venus lets out a snort as she peers over at her friend. "Did you try to leave me and Lydia behind?"

"No." the werecoyote replies unconvincingly. "I was just curious."

"Liar!" Isaac calls out from the other end of the jeep, causing the girl to growl at him.

Venus quickly grabs hold of the girls shoulder. "It's fine. You can't leave people behind because it's not the right thing to do, you're supposed to try and help. That's the good thing to do."

"Even if they're injured and dying?"

"Especially when they're injured and dying."

"What's she saying to him?" Stiles asks from behind them, hoping for either Isaac or Malia to answer him.

"I think she's telling him off." Isaac laughs to himself, turning to his friends. "She's warning him not to bite an innocent."

"Give your father my regards, Fiore." Araya speaks with distaste, turning and moving back into her home, not even giving Venus a chance to reply.

Instead the girl turns to her friends letting out a scoff. "Isn't she just a delight."

"So what now?" Stiles asks Scott, moving off the jeep as the werewolf approaches them.

"She thinks she knows where we can find Derek." the boy reveals, standing in front of his friends.

"Look at that, she's useful!" Venus retorts, pushing herself off the jeep. "Where is he?"

"Actually, she's giving us a guide." Scott explains, seemingly confused himself.

Right on cue, a motorbike comes rolling down the road they were stood on. It comes to a stop right next to the jeep, creating a barrier between Scott, Stiles and the rest of the pack. The helmet comes off, revealing a woman that some of them recognized.

"Braeden." Scott reveals with a small smile.

Confusion washes over Kira, "You guys know her?"

"She's a mercenary." Lydia replies.

"She's also the girl that saved my life." Isaac adds on, giving the woman a thankful smile.

"Right now I'm the only one who's gonna take you to La Iglesia." Braeden speaks, cradling her helmet in her arms.

"The church?" Lydia translates with furrowed eyebrows.

"What's the church?"

"It's not a place you'll find God."
