"He is?"
Javon questions me over what's App. He's home but this time with Chris. Who I hear shuffling around in the background. Chris had come and said hi, when our video chat started.
"Yes. I mean I have nothing to go by but he's a great kisser."
I elaborate to my best friend. Javon grins wide with the corner of his lip turned up at me in the way that means he's eating up whatever information I'm sharing. Last night wasn't enough, which is why we're chatting between my tutoring sessions for Javon to get more 'juicy details.' His words, not mine.
"I can't believe it. My little Eureka is growing up but because of stinking COVID, I'm missing all of it. I'm happy for you." Javon fires back.
"I know. It's okay though, we at least see each other over video. But I literally could kiss Kira forever and I think he'd be up for it. Apparently, I'm a good kisser too."
Hooray me. Who knew?
"That's my best friend. Are you ready if things ever go further? Make sure you move at a pace you're comfortable with."
Javon always looks out for me and my best interest. He's often times seeming like the older brother I never had. Sadly I'm an only child. If not for him I wouldn't have experienced what it's like to have a sibling.
"I don't know but I really like him. He's so sweet and he looks at me like I'm the only woman who exists. I'll definitely keep that in mind because he's so tempting. Kira is like a sex god. I can totally see him as my first."
My face flushed up at my last admission. If not for my melanin I'd probably be blushing like a schoolgirl.
Plus he's a great cook and he'sreally respectful and kind.
Javon nodded. We talked a bit more before we had to say goodbye when it came time for me to get back to work. I really wished we could meet up soon. Maybe if we both get tested and vaccinated?
Should I get the vaccine?
I don't know actually. I'm still not quite sold about it for some reason. I've had reservations about the vaccine since I first learned about it. Maybe with more time that'll change. I don't know.
I wonder if any of my family members have gotten it?
I really need to reach out to them. Let's not worry about it now. Work - I have children to tutor.

Today ended up not being so bad. After my second session, my day ended. With my students back to school after winter break, my schedule is slowly becoming more spaced out. The only difference is my Saturdays are more booked.
