The pair walk side by side silently until they're out of hearing distance which is when Mingi strikes up a conversation.

"What the hell was he going on about?"

"No idea. The man is nuts." Kurenai shrugs, also unsettled by the strange last words Seonghwa told her. "I just hope he gets hit by a truck soon to set him right or else I'll have to be the one to do it."

Mingi snorts at her comment, shaking his head just as they reach the elevator to go back to their dorms.

"You just broke the poor man's arm and are now threatening to run over him. What would the Meisters think of this?" He quirks an amused eyebrow at her and she breaks into a smile.

"I'm they're favorite, they'd obviously be on my side." She rolls her eyes like it's an obvious answer, feeling offended when she sees Mingi disagreeing as he pushes the button for the elevator door.

"That's debatable. I know for a fact that Isla hates your guts." He reminds her ungraciously.

"I'll give you that, but..." She butts in before he can get too smug. "Ursula and Ismael adore me." She makes sure to stress the 'o' on the word 'adore' to make it clear who's the favorite.

"If it helps you sleep at night." He concedes playfully, laughing when he receives a punch just as the elevator door chimes open for them to step in. "I'm kidding, I'm kidding. After all, you're my favorite, too." He leans toward her with his hands behind his back, wriggling his eyebrows over dramatically.

"Stop that, you're being annoying!" She pushes his face away, secretly loving the attention from him and hiding her smile when she sees the big pout on his lips.

"Am I?"

"Yes," She answers sharply, finding it harder to keep her facial expression limited as Mingi makes those googly eyes. "You're the most annoying person I've ever met."

"Liar!" He accuses. "If I were so annoying, you would've instantly denied Seonghwa's assumptions that I was your boyfriend." For once, Kurenai is tongue-tied because of Mingi. He looks down at her smugly, smiling to himself like an idiot. "Gotcha."

"Idiot," she murmurs under her breath and he catches it but decides to have his fun.

"What was that? Did you call me handsome? Why thank you!" He clutches his heart, draping an arm around her and pulling her into a side hug. "You're so kind."

"I never said that! I called you an idiot! Now get off me!" She pushes him off while trying to hold back her giggles, letting some out which elates the immature model.

"Going back on your word so soon? I thought you liked me?" She side-eyes him suspiciously and sees him standing next to her innocently.

"I don't like you, I tolerate you. There's a difference."

"So like friends right?" His face lights up adorably, making it extremely difficult to be mean to him right now.

"Don't push it." She refuses to concede to his point, crossing her arms and looking away from him.

"No, you know you love me." Mingi pokes at her with a sing-song voice and dreamy expression. Even though Kurenai doesn't say it, she absolutely misses these moments with him.
