Chan, Changbin, Felix and Jeongin (just because he can) were making their way through the forest and back to Felix's humble abode.

The omega mentioned how he wanted to go back to his home, especially since he's gonna need his precious herbs and cures if he was to help the alpha.

But the silent, hour-long journey, however, seemed to drag too much for the youngest.

"Tag! Binnie hyung you're it!" screeched Jeongin, slapping Changbin a little too sharply, before dashing off. The easily infuriated shorter male grumbling before chasing the boy.

After all, what the maknae wanted, the maknae received.

But this meant that Chan was left alone with Felix.

Still staying attentive to their surroundings, Chan let his attention travel to the blonde beauty walking slightly ahead of him. He couldn't help but pay heed to how serene the other looked, weaving soundlessly between the evergreen plants, movements effortless as though he was one with his surroundings.

The sight was hypnotising.

The omega's tiny hand would occasionally caress a few trees as he passed like he was greeting them and the leaves swayed in return. It seemed like the old spirits were overjoyed by the presence of the omega, which surprised the alpha considering tree spirits were known for their stubborn nature.

Not wanting to disturb Felix (this was the calmest the leader has seen the omega in the past two days), Chan hindered behind, a clear view of the omega, and his alpha hearing allowing him to still hear the two that ran off.

....................

When they reached the cabin of sorts, the slightly ecstatic omega gently pushed open the wooden door only to freeze when he noticed the door was ready to fall off its hinges.

Chan realised something was wrong and walked up behind the omega and sniffed around, trying to scent out any threats.

"Jeongin, Felix, wait here. Changbin come with me." The two older alphas slowly entered the cabin, alpha senses heightened as they trekked towards potential danger.

However a few mins passed, Jeongin's eyes glassed over before he dragged Felix inside and towards the alphas who were stood in the middle of the open living room, muscles no longer tensed.

Only when the two youngest approached did Chan reveal why Felix's cabin was in the state that it was.

"There are clear signs of another wolf being here. Possibly feral, but highly unlikely."

"They were looking for something," interrupted Changbin, muscles still tense, eyes glancing around as though the intruder was still in the cabin.

"Hmmm. Possibly a remedy of yours? The room behind this is in worse conditions than this one."

Felix's dejection was unclouded as he tried to absorb the sight around him.

After all, the cabin was all the omega had.

The only place he had control and peace.

Swallowing back the tears, Felix replied, "that can't be it. No one else knows about the healer stuff. Hell, no one has passed this area in the last three years I've lived here, s-so the wolf couldn't have purposely stumbled into my cabin."

"He could be right. The scent is incredibly faint so we won't be able to track the wolf down."

Chan nodded, understanding where the omega was coming from.

"Ginig, look at me."

Felix's head snapped up, making eye contact with Chan. Only then did Chan notice the tears welling up in the other's purple eyes, and his heart crumpled within his chest at the upsetting sight.

Before he knew it, he was standing directly in front of the omega, his right hand raising to gently sweep a lock of blond hair behind the other's ear before coming back down to caress his prominent cheekbone with the back of his knuckles.

Felix let out a sharp breathe, but didn't move away from the faint, unfamiliar caress.

Instead, the act of comfort simply made the younger's lip to wobble as tiny sobs began to rip through his tiny frame, worrying the lead alpha even more.

He wasn't expecting Felix to throw himself at him, cries muffled by Chan's bare chest, where the omega hid his face, hands clutched tightly by his head.

The alpha simply wrapped his arms around the omega softly, combing through the blonde hair, waiting for the omega to calm down.

He saw Changbin heave out the gaping Jeongin from the cabin, giving the two some privacy.

He couldn't help but roll his eyes at the youngest.

Sure it was rare for him to initiate skinship, but the thought of comforting the omega simply overrode all of his instincts.

Changbin might not look like it, but he was the most considerate out of all his pack members, something he was incredibly grateful for.

"Mírë, tell me what is wrong." Chan pulled away slightly, cupping Felix's cheek with his right hand and cupping his neck with the left, rubbing soothing circles on his nape. The omega sniffled (Chan held in the grunt he nearly let out at how cute the other looked), before looking up at the alpha.

A slight blush coloured his cheeks as he noticed how close he was to Chan and he couldn't help but look down as he fiddle with his fingers that were now resting on the other's naked chest.

Felix's blush deepened.

Looking back up at the alpha, he gathered his jumbled thoughts enough to answer the other.

"I- this was my home, and, and I don't know any better than this. It was all I h-had and now it's all, all gone. Even my-my plants are destroyed! It's not fair, alpha" Felix whimpered out, tears falling.

"I don't have a home, again."

Chan's eyes mirrored the omega's sadness, and not knowing what to say, he pulled him into a hug again, letting Felix cry out all his despair into his shoulder.

As time passed, and the whimpers stilled to small sniffles, Chan brought up the same question he asked the omega in the morning, his arms still wrapped around the other.

"You can stay with us, meleth. You can stay, we want you to stay with us, Felix. "

And hopefully, we'll become your new home.

...................

When Changbin and Jeongin walked back in, Felix was busy packing what he wanted to take back with him, knowing that he'd most likely not return in a long while if he was to start getting used to the pack life again.

He didn't want a repeat of his past. But he couldn't help but trust Chan, even though he didn't understand the other half the time, and the others have been nothing but welcoming.

But what if it was all a facade? It didn't take much for my own parents to turn their backs to me.

"Does this mean you're staying with us? Can I call you hyung then?! You are my hyung right?" The youngest bombarded Felix, eyes gleaming with excitement at the prospect of having a new pack member.

Chan grunted, signalling the youngest to calm down when he noticed the omega flinch slightly.

"He will be living with us but when and if he officially joins our pack, is up to him," replied Chan, receiving a smile from Felix as a silent thank you.

"You can call me hyung, if you want," mumbled Felix, the others nearly missing what he said.

"Then I'll call you hyung. From now on, you're my Lixie hyung!"
