CHAPTER 2 - Surviving The Monster Apocalypse

CHAPTER 2 - SURVIVING THE MONSTER APOCALYPSE

Exactly about two years have passed by and gone on since the sudden fallen meteor, the Mutated-monster outbreak, and the whole world had devastated badly into the Monster Apocalypse and everything.

Not only all the animals and creatures of Mundane and Magical kinds were mutated, making all small animals and bugs become large beasts as well as making the large kinds much bigger, stronger, and more ferocious, and all the kinds changed by the meteor--but also the plants as well, mutating and evolving them into carnivorous man-eaters or deadly venomous types.

If the meteor had affected the Mundane people...rest assured it didn't, but only in small and few rare cases that it occurs, despite the instant decimation of billions of people quickly minimizing into hundreds or so among the planet's population since they were hunted, eaten, or killed by the mutated monsters and such when the outbreak first happened and the apocalypse spread out long ago. And in those rare cases, it's either the meteor has given supernatural-like powers to those Mundane people or turned them into shape-shifters like werewolves or different kinds of animals to be able to fight or flee from the monstrous predators that went up to the top of the food chain, replacing the human species and such.

Even though the whole world has been massively populated by the mutated monsters and creatures from then on--there are about a few of them that are friendly and non-lethal or non-threatening that will harm any innocent life or what's left of the surviving humans and such. The reasons how these kinds of knowledge are known--were from the still-living survivors that are the magical members of the Black family.

For the past years since the Monster Apocalypse happened, Helen, Draco, Neville, Luna, and Teddy managed to survive the monster outbreak as well as surviving and living through the apocalypse safely when it did. Even right now, they're still safe and secure inside their make-shift survival home, somewhere in the middle of thick deep woodland forests as they are staying temporarily for the time being or so, with magical and mundane fortified security measures in place on their area and space.

The only ones who didn't survive when the great meteor fell and the monster-apocalypse had happened, were Draco's parents and old Andromeda, as they got struck by the meteor's radiation-sickness, that is another one of those effects that killed and decimated the human population on the planet when the meteor exploded and spread its deadly radiation within its range, and it was unfortunate that the Black family were almost near 'Ground Zero' itself after the meteor struck and crashed down to where it had landed in America.

Helen, Draco, and Teddy grieved for their lost loved ones in their family when they passed away from that deadly effect from the monster-meteor, but they knew that their loved ones would be happy and glad that they managed to escape when the monster outbreak happened and left to find another safe place before it got massively worse from their former home in America.

Neville and Luna helped them cope and comfort them whenever they needed it upon their grief of losing their families, and it wasn't long that on that very year of the outbreak and during their escape out of there and getting to safety away from the beginning waves of the rising monsters in the apocalypse, their family expanded when they adopted some children who also lost their families from the monster meteor outbreak and the apocalypse spreading out, breaking the whole world into chaos.

When Helen had wished that she would have children of her own one day--she didn't think that they would come almost literally falling into her lap when the monster apocalypse happened. But she would never regret saving the three children, two baby infants of a girl and boy, and one female toddler, upon sensing them in trouble and she didn't hesitate to use her magic to rescue them, despite that it was dangerous to do so in the midst of their escape from the horrific monster wave that broke out from the treacherous meteor that crashed into the planet and devastated the world and so on.

Draco was obviously displeased that Helen continued with her 'heroic' ways to help and save people, but he didn't protest as his 'ice-cold' persona and heart was won over by the innocent children that Helen rescued and they turned their cute puppy-like looks to the new people that instantly adopted them as their own. The three children Helen rescued are of different heritages, such as the baby boy is an African-American named Andy, the baby girl is of Russian descent named little Annie, and finally, the toddler girl that looked to be two or three years old is of American race named Faith.

Luna helped Helen to become the sole mother for the children, including Teddy, and also helped her nurture them upon providing breast milk by using magic to kick-start her body into nursing them. Helen was thankful for this, despite that the little ones aren't hers biologically but she's very glad that she was able to be their wet-nurse since it's obvious that the normal mundane formula will easily run out and they needed biological nutrients to keep them healthy and alive longer, which Helen was very happy to provide them of that with her own body and milk she could give them, thanks to magic and normal means.

It was very fortunate and easy to nurse the three little babies as they're the only ones reliant still on breast milk until they grow older and can eat solids. Teddy was the only one who didn't need breast-milk as he's old enough to eat normal food but from time to time he was curious about what his new 'mother' Helen's milk tasted like and when he tried it one time, it amused the others at the sudden disgust that showed on the little boy's face once he took a sip from it.

The years passed up until the recent time right then and now, that is the year where they are at the forest right now, and so far, their group hasn't expanded more since most of any possible living survivors fled in fear to any places out there, and Helen and her group have decided to keep themselves safe with their magic as they fled to Canada, which is the very place they're exactly at already and still going on strong, surviving and staying alive through this monster-infested world.

The boy Teddy was delighted to be the protective older brother to his adopted siblings, Andy, Annie, and Faith, and the others were honored to be their two uncles and one aunt for the children upon caring and loving them in their group. Even though Draco seemed to have designated himself as the leader and guardian of the whole group in appearance, he's actually the second-in-command, while Neville is the scout and archivist of the new secure-enchanted book that holds all the knowledge on surviving through the monster apocalypse, all the monsters, and creatures as well as information about them, including strengths, weaknesses, and danger levels. And finally, the last adult member of the group is Luna as the healer and second archivist of 'MONSTER APOCALYPSE CHRONICLES - SURVIVAL GUIDE' as the mundane-enchanted book is called--as for Helen, she is actually the 'Mother' and main leader of the group as she is powerful in her own right, both Magical and the Mundane too.

In help with their magic and mundane might and strength and all their power, they managed to keep themselves safe and secure, surviving through this and staying alive. But then something else happened at the time that will also change their lives for the better and pair with each of the four adult guardians of the group.
