OOOOO

"Argh! Merlin's staff and bloody damn it all!" Draco cursed as he and Bellamy panted tiredly from their weak lifting efforts even though both these two men are strong in their own mundane and magic being. "Sometimes, I hate Mother Nature and everything connected to her themselves! Confound it all!"

Bellamy would have found this humorous over the kind of cussing and cursing Draco makes in his British kind of way but he stopped himself from chuckling out loud when he saw that Helen is looking really anxious and worried as she's seeing that their magical shield is slowly breaking down and going to shatter to pieces like fragile glass. Bellamy just gave out a sigh and inquired at Draco, "Can't you boost us up with magic so that we can lift these?"

Draco's head snapped up from looking down on the ground and glared at Bellamy like he's an idiot. "Have you lost your mind? If I try to do that, giving the both of us that magic 'boost' as you call it, it will be like overdosing with super magic steroids, for crying out loud! Do you want to die already or something?!"

"Draco! Don't be so rude. Bellamy didn't know! He's normal, remember?" Helen scolded him when she heard her brotherly friend snapping at him like that.

Draco winced and then sighed as he apologized sincerely to Bellamy and he nodded, then Draco brushed invisible dust or some snow flecks that are on his coat before he was going to turn and get back to the tent as he said, "I'll go get Neville and your friend Murphy to help out in lifting this."

"That's not going to work!" Bellamy instantly shouts when Draco turned around and stopped him from returning to the tent and Draco turned back for him and Helen to look at him with confused looks as he explained. "Even with the four of us guys lifting these branches, they're still too heavy and big to do it. And I don't think it's a good idea to have the other girls help out because they'll end up breaking their hands and almost their whole bodies into lifting these heavy branches."

Draco gave Bellamy a skeptical look like he's asking silently how he knows such things and Bellamy simply replied, "Before the monster apocalypse, I worked part-time in construction as a heavy-duty lifter or something of that kind. I know weights very well, and it really won't work."

"We still have to try...for their safety and sake, including all of us!" Draco hissed at him lowly, his eyes glancing pointedly at the pregnant woman with them as Helen turned back to being look-out and watching for the magic shield if it's going to break down fast or not, which they're all hoping in their heads that it won't but in their guts, they already knew better that it was inevitable maybe.

When Bellamy saw Helen subconsciously rub her slightly big tummy like she's soothing her babies moving inside her as if they're sensing her upset emotions or concerning negativity and she's comforting them with soft whispers despite that she's not aware of doing it, it instantly gave him resolve and made him suddenly determined to do this very important and necessary task.

"Okay, okay...go get the guys, I'll stay and watch with--," Bellamy started telling Draco.

"OH NO!"

Both Draco and Bellamy instantly turned right around at Helen upon hearing her sudden distressed cry, thinking that monsters have finally come out of hiding from lurking in the deep dark forests of Canada, but it turns out that's not the reason why she cried out and reacted like that for Draco followed where Helen is staring at with a very upset and almost terrified look on her face and then he felt the same way as she does when he saw the half of the circle-like dome of the invisible magical shield breaking down just like shattered glass pieces on top above their very heads, up high in the skies.

"No...no-no-no-no--NO!" Draco murmured softly before he nearly shouted out loud on the last word when the enchanted shield covering is breaking down right in front of his horrified eyes as he saw this. It's like Draco is praying to the Gods or any higher deity up there to keep the magic barrier up but it looks like Fate itself might have had a grudge or something against them when the top part of the magical shield rain down its broken shattered pieces above them like snow and then they faded away into nothing before the slow floating pieces reached Helen, Draco, and Bellamy down below.

There was a shocked horrified silence...then...

"Please tell me this doesn't mean...what I think it means," Bellamy asked, sounding really nervous and internally hoping that what he just saw the same as the other two is not what he thinks this really means upon seeing it but his gut told him otherwise in a foreboding ominous way and felt a sinking bad feeling beating within his very heart.

"The barrier is down...it's gone...it can't be fixed or repaired back to the way it was," Helen said gravely when she stated this and turned slowly to look at Bellamy straight in the eyes to show him that she's trying to maintain a brave face at him but he can easily tell upon seeing underneath the mask of her strong-looking face, there is deep terror and fear in her eyes. "We're no longer safe here...and all the monsters in the woods will soon sense that."

Another silence darkening between them, almost thickening the atmosphere to the point of grimness and horror-filled suffocation but Bellamy broke it when he spoke in a strong yet still courageous voice, his whole body and countenance showing that he's been ready and always been brave to face these kinds of unexpected situations.

"Then we need to leave before that very time happens," Bellamy said in a strong tone that Helen couldn't help but come closer and lean on him for comfort and he let her because he knew that she needs it very deeply, despite that it's obvious she's still trying to keep up a brave face as the main leader of her group that she is. However, it looks like Bellamy's bold and strong speech soothed Helen's inner fears and she trusted him, even more, when he said it. It seems that Draco started to feel the same upon finally deciding to trust the Mundane man completely for he had been distrustful to him and his friends since they were accepted and taken into their group back at the days before.

It didn't take long for the three of them to hurry hastily to return back inside the magical tent and inform the others of the unexpected new grave situation about the fallen broken barrier and the sudden goal into swiftly packing up all their stuff and preparing themselves for another long journey to get out of the monstrous woods and survive it through all the way, no matter how long it takes wherever or whenever it goes.
