CHAPTER 10 - MORE SURPRISES ON THE JOURNEY

STILL INSIDE THE MAGICALLY SECURED ABANDONED WAREHOUSE BUILDING, IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE, SOMEWHERE IN CANADA...STILL THE COLD WINTER SEASON WITH A LIGHT SNOWY WEATHER...

TOTAL SURVIVORS--22: Females--12 (7 Young Adults and 5 Children) and Males--10 (6 Young Adults and 4 Children); TYPES: Mages / Magicals--10 and Mundane / Normal--12

It's now day six, only two days left on the deadline of the week exactly, and Draco is working on magically improving the motor-vehicle trailer home to fit all twenty-two survivors into it, all young adults, teenagers, and children themselves, and adding some hidden home improvements to stash their supplies, weapons, and other important stuff and things safe and secure inside the slightly large vehicle.

Bellamy and Murphy are there to help him out with the normal mechanical tinkering and fixing, while Jack, Charlotte, and Jake are there to assist when needed, and Jake feels complete and truly better, recovered from any injuries he had gotten before.

Helen is looking after and taking care of the children with Clarke and Jane's help, while Neville and Octavia are cooking and making jerky from the boar meat, and also baking nutritious biscuits that are all good food for travel and long-time storage, and also for the incoming journey in the future when it comes, and lastly, Luna is busy sorting out and taking double-checking inventory on all of their supplies, weaponry, and other stuff, making sure that she notes everything that was not missed or left out before they leave and continue on their journey once again, and Jill is assisting and helping Luna with her task.

While Draco is now working on the engine, to make sure it's fixed right and can run normally without any problems, one of the new survivors decided to make conversation, seeing that they still don't know much about their new friends that they're interacting with--specifically, when it comes to Draco as he's been a little distant and giving the newcomers a bit of a cold shoulder at them.

"So...hey, why are you so focused on fixing the trailer-home back up anyway?" Jake asked curiously, the obvious one instantly speaking out-of-the-blue for them, and he wasn't aware that Jack and Charlotte exchanged each other slightly worried looks like they think that Draco does not have time to talk with them or might get annoyed by their inane rambling or talking babble at him.

"Well, obviously we're going to leave and get back out there on the road soon," Draco bluntly replied after he twisted some screw in the engine nicely tight and well, sounding like he's not minding this kind of conversation or discussion they're about to have while they're busy working.

"Back out--!? Why the hell--I mean, heck--would you wanna risk your lives again on going back out there with all the monsters around and about, huh?!" Jake instantly exclaimed incredulously, being mindful with his cursing upon remembering that there are little children present and almost near within hearing range of them.

Jake knew that he didn't want to be scolded by Helen the leading 'mother' or Luna or the other girls again if he continued with his bad language and foul cussing when the children can hear it and might learn and follow the worst kind of language that they should not learn until they're older.
