That Rugby Boy

A date? -Chapter 26

It was a sunny brand new day in a brand new city. Alice woke up,  checked her phone no notifications after that she walked over to her balcony and opened the curtains. When the curtains opened Alice was greeted with warmth and sunshine that made Alice feel loved. 

After Alice showered she got dressed into a pink blazer and trouser combo. She walked out of the hotel and walked into a Starbucks, she ordered a white mocha,  then with the drink in her hand she walked round the city that would hopefully become a new home to her in a few months or maybe years. 

While Alice was on her walk she recognised someone walking towards her. It was Chris.  So she waved and Chris lifted his hand up to wave back at Alice. He smiled and that made Alice smile back. 

CHRISTOPHER'S POV

As I walked my dog, I noticed a familiar face. It was Alice. Her hair was floating in the air, her smile radiated off of her face to mine. By the time I had gotten my head out of the gutter. Alice had recognised me as well. She was waving and so was i.  I had only met her thirty-two hours ago and she had already stolen my heart. When she walked over to me, I hugged her “how are you Alice, settling in well?” I asked curiously. Alice giggled and replied with the response “ im ok chris , first night it took me a while to fall asleep but im ok now. Maybe we could go to a place for dinner together then you can show me some spots”.  Chris was incredibly happy to hear Alice's offer of them spending more time together.

ALICE’S POV

After I saw Chris , I decided to go and get an appointment for a soul cycle. Alice wanted to see if she could meet anybody else to become friends with. When i came outside of the soul cycle building i headed up to my building and changed my outfit to biker shorts and pink sports bra and black nikes. After getting changed I decided to message frank . 

Message to Frank from Alice

Hi Frank, it's alice. Just wanted to catch you up on my life. I've joined soul cycle(it's a gym place for hot cycling). I also met a guy on the plane. He really helped me with my anxiety on the plane. He also has a very cute dog called ‘doger’ you would love him. How are you? How is Jess coping with the pregnancy?

Once Alice had sent the message to Frank she sighed. Then she checked her watch and realised if she was to arrive on time to the schedule of her soul cycle, she had to leave now. Alice grabbed her bag that contained water,gum, hair bands, makeup, and extra clothes. 

The music was blaring “Up”by Cardi B when alice walked in, bikes were moving 

and making sounds. The instructor was Yelling his motivational advice to the group that was cycling in front of alice. 

Alice got onto the bike as she had been assigned to by the Instructor.  When the music was turned up to the highest level of volume , all of the cyclists started to cycle, Alice was enjoying herself. However when the male instructor-Andy came over , she felt a hand on her handlebars incredibly close to her hands. Andy then told Alice how great at cycling she was considering it was her first time. She thanked Andy for the compliment. 

An hour and forty-five minutes later, Alice stumbled out of the cycling room and she walked back to the apartment she was renting. All of her belongings were still in boxes , so when she got out of the bathroom she decided that she was going to sort through the boxes of clutter, decorations and clothes that were neatly packed away. Before she started on doing that she ordered herself a large margarita pizza. 

The Tv was playing old episodes of Keeping up with the Kardiashians, while boxes were played everywhere, clothes were in two piles. 

Many hours passed and Alice's phone started to ring. It was Chris on the phone.

Phone call with Chris

Chris- Hey Alice, just wanted to know if you were free to come and meet me at Soho as I have a discount so ill pay - he chuckled.

Alice-Hey , oh my god , this sounds amazing , is it possible that you can pick me up and then come and then give me fifteen minutes as i need to change my outfit especially if we are going to soho.

Chris- Alice, that's fine, send me the address and i'll be there in a few.

-After phone call-

Alice quickly went into her closest and looked through all of her clothes. She then found a cute strapless red top with a black mini(but sensible length) skirt. She then paired it with some black heels. 

Then Alice did some mascara and light eye makeup. 

Alice grabbed her bag and walked out of her apartment. She then saw Chris walking up the stairs so she shouted '"i'm up here Chris, look up" . Chris chuckled and ran up the stairs. 

He took Alice's hand in his hands and kissed her cheek. "You look lovely" . Alice started to blush at Chris's complement. 

Alice knew that her and Chris were only friends but she couldn't help but let her mind wonder to how Chris would be like in a relationship. 

Chris and Alice then arrived at his car , he opened the door for Alice to sit down in the passenger seat. 

Chris then climbed into his side of the car and placed the keys into his ignition. He then placed his hand lightly on Alice's thigh and said "are you comfortable with me placing my hand there or would you like me just to hold your hand?"

Alice smiled and said to Chris sweetly "it's ok there but thank you for asking me, it means alot , now can we get going as I'm very hungry and I meant to say that you look very handsome" 

Chris thanked Alice for her compliment and he started to drive as he realised she was going to get very hungry if they didn't get going. 

When Alice looked at Chris driving,  she felt butterflies in her stomach, Chris's concentration face was very attractive. 

When Chris came over to open Alice's door she was gobsmacked,  she had never seen such a beautiful decorated restaurant,  the garden was blooming and the restaurant's interior was amazing as well. 

Chris walked over to the check in desk and walked Alice over to their tabel.

He pulled out her chair and then she sat down and smiled at Chris.

Chris and Alice sat down and ordered a bottle of wine for the table. Then Chris and Alice started to talk about their pasts. When they were on their second glass , Alice wanted to order dinner. 

Alice ordered the Chicken mozzarella linguine while Chris ordered the Steak with chips. 

When the phone came , they both ate and smiled at each other. 

Alice couldn't help but feel like this was a date. 

Maybe it was a date.

A friendly date. 

Alice then began to feel sleepy. Chris looked over the table and saw that Alice looked sleepy. So he began to ask for the bill so they could leave.  Once Chris had paid for dinner, they both left. 

Chris opened the door and Alice slumped into the car. While Chris was driving back home he looked to his left , and saw that Alice was fast asleep. 

So he kissed her on her forehead and whispered "sweet dreams doll".

He then continued to drive to her house and then he grabbed Alice bridal style. He found her keys to the door in her bag and opened the door. He then played her into her bed and he tucked her in. 

Instead of Chris leaving, he lay down on her sofa and fell asleep.
