"I can't believe your ass has me seeing your place for the first time and meeting your mom all in one day." Eliana grumbles from inside her bathroom, "You tryna kill me? Shit."
I chuckle at her complaints, continuing to scroll through my phone. Just as I respond to Tyrese about him dropping off his Christmas gift, the click of the door opening snaps me from the screen.
"Damn." I let out before I can stop myself.

Her curls reach her shoulders, parted to the side, some tendrils falling onto her forehead, leading to her makeup. Her eyebrows are even and her lashes are curled. The bulb of her nose is shiny with highlight and her lips are glossed and ready to be kissed.
Case, no.
"Is this good? Too dressy? Not dressy enough?" I'm stuck in my head as she questions her appearance, "You're not saying anything. I'm gonna change."
"No." I jump up from my seat on the floor and step toward her, "You look beautiful, baby."
She bows her head for a moment before turning around and entering the bathroom again, closing it behind her.
My brows furrow in confusion. Did I say the wrong thing?
Before I can question myself any further, she opens the door again and looks up at me with a small smile, "Okay, I'm ready."
As she walks past me, I'm left confused as hell. What just happened?
