Footsteps echoed down the empty hallway. Around this time, students would typically be walking down the corridors, chatter filling the air and liveliness brightening the place. But it wasn't the case here.
The floor was shiny, it almost made you wonder just how much effort the school put into having spotless floors.
You didn't expect your first visit to be under these circumstances. But oh well.
The silence wasn't welcomed. It felt too much like the silence back in the warehouse. And just like there, the only sound was you. Your footsteps. Your breathing.
You hated it.
The villains could be anywhere. It was unsettling how quiet the school is, which meant that all students and staff were being locked away together. It would be the easiest way to subdue everybody. The text message said a drug had been slipped into the food, does that mean they were all in the cafeteria? Or was there another room large enough to hold everybody?
It was pointless to debate what way to go. You didn't even know where any of the rooms were, much less the cafeteria.
That only meant one thing: time to use your quirk.
Without pausing your running, you pointed the palm of your hand down and felt the power sink into the building and expand. It mapped out the area, searching for bodies of energies that would indicate where everybody was. As the wave of power continued to expand, it soon settled upon a large mass of energy.
Everybody was apparently being held hostage in the school's auditorium. There were rows of energies, with only some figures pacing around- the villains. Outside of the building and into the nearby halls were more figures walking around- guards.
Easy enough.
Now having a sense of direction and an accurate number of villains, you ran forward with no particular plan in mind.
Plans were for losers.
Bringing the mask down, you made sure to stomp as you ran, letting the noise echo through the empty building so that it would catch the attention of the nearby guards.
Smirking behind the mask, your fingers twisted and firmly gripped the bat as you reached the first wave of villains.
Time for some action.
...
The ceremony, from the very beginning, was a bad idea. Aizawa knew there was a reason why he avoided them at all costs. Rather than attending, he relied on Hizashi to relay the information he missed while he had his class do something else- something actually productive. It worked when he skipped the orientation and welcoming ceremonies at the beginning of the years. And yet he couldn't avoid this one, and what a mistake that was.
This ceremony was meant to be more of a meeting to loop the entire school in on the business that had to do with the League of Villains.
Principal Nezu believed it was best to at least give their students a heads up of the upcoming attacks that may occur against the school and to allow them to be alert. They were going to place new rules that must be followed, both during school hours and back at the dormitories.
In fact, the small rodent(?) was so prepared for this meeting that he had created a very attention-grabbing powerpoint to smoothly drop the news onto the students.
He never got to share it though.
As everybody settled into the seats in the auditorium and Nezu took a seat at the front by his laptop, the full effects of the quirk suppressants began to take place.
