Bakugo POV

...

Bakugo Katsuki could hear his soulmate sing. It started when he turned twelve, he heard a soft voice echoing through his head. He thought he had gone crazy.

Maybe it was a ghost haunting him, maybe a shitty villain was messing with him. But when he had enough of being paranoid, he reluctantly told his parents what was going on.

The old hag was beyond excited. She really believed he was going to end up alone due to his brash attitude, but no. There was someone out there, meant for him and only him.

His soulmate.

The soulmate experts told him he could hear his soulmate sing. It didn't matter how far they were, he would be able to hear them. At first, it was fucking annoying.

He couldn't stand having a voice constantly annoying the shit out of him. He had enough with Deku's mumbling, now to add on, he had a voice in his head that he couldn't get rid of. There would be times were he'd been trying to take a nap, only to be awaken by a voice. Or he'd be in the shower and randomly hear a voice belting out lyrics.

But as the time went on, he found comfort in the voice. He tried to sing out questions, a way to cheat the fates. But it never worked. Or if it did, his soulmate never tried to sing back the answers.

Maybe they didn't want a soulmate, maybe only songs were allowed, like actual songs. It didn't matter, Bakugo gave up a long time ago. There was no point in him obsessing over it. It's been years now, and his soulmate was nowhere to be found.

Part of him was heartbroken, and he hated having a weakness. He wasn't fucking weak. The Bakugo Katsuki was far from weak. Still, deep down he yearned for his missing half.

Where are you?

"Hey Bakubro, ready to go?"

Bakugo turned towards the voice, a frown on his face. He had been waiting for his shitty non-friends to hurry up so they could head to school. Due to their lack of time management, he had ended up waiting alone in the common room, his thoughts once again wondering to his soulmate.

You were always singing.

Or at least it felt that way.

The songs always ranged, sometimes it was a full song, emotions pouring. Sometimes it was a few seconds of a song. And the songs... man did his soulmate have weird taste.

He couldn't figure out what your taste was, the songs varied from pop songs on the radio to rock to Disney songs to r&b and it was all giving him a whiplash keeping up.

What a fucking idiot

"Took you shitty extras long enough."

The guy with the red hair, better known as Kirishima or shitty hair, scratched the back of his neck in embarrassment. "Sorry, we all woke up late."

"How the fuck does that even happen. Don't you each have your own alarms?"

He couldn't believe these were his non-friends. Seriously, he had morons as his friends.

This time, it was raccoon eyes who butted into the conversation. "Denki thought it was funny to turn off all of our alarms, including his."

Bakugo raised an eyebrow at the pikachu wannabe, glad that the guy was smart enough to at least exclude him from prank. "We got some extra sleep, y'all should be grateful."

"Better hurry the fuck up, we only have a few minutes."

That was a strong enough threat to wake them up. They each knew what would happen if they were late. Ever since their first year, their homeroom teacher had been on their assess about being punctual, apparently it was an important aspect to being a hero.
