Esme Ambrose (POV)

It was finally Friday, it always seemed to come by so slow. I dreaded this week just like any other, it amazed me that my grades were still good, actually the best I've done throughout my years I mean it was a big distraction from what was happening in my personal life.

Potions was my last class for today and Draco had been looking at me a couple times but they were more of glares. He had been walking me to my class all day today, I knew that was his way of comforting me so I let him. We didn't say anything to each other though, just silence.

Slughorn dismissed us, finally. As I was leaving I actually wanted to get further away from Draco but then again I didn't. It was a mixed feeling that I should be aware of by now but yet I'm still indecisive when it comes to him. 

Draco did manage to catch up with me and didn't say anything. We were heading towards the courtyard, I noticed it was slowly getting packed with students. As we walked by Pansy's group, I could hear the snickering from her friends, I'm pretty sure Draco heard to. I didn't bother looking at them, I'd be pathetic if I did.

We kept walking in silence, I wasn't sure who was leading the way I thought it was me till Draco pulled me aside. It wasn't the most private place but we could still have a conversation if that's what he wanted.

"Are you okay?" He finally asked.

"I feel like you need to be asked that."

"I'm fine."

Liar.

"Draco... you don't look fine and you don't sound fine almost all the time now."

Actually all the time.

He paused, "I'm sorry."

I stared into his eyes, hoping I could figure out what he was feeling.

"The other night... I just-"

"We can just forget about it," I interrupted, "Just... don't let something like that happen again."

I could tell he was choking up by the tone in his throat and I wondered why, at the same time I really didn't want to talk about it. Even though we probably should've, it was an uncomfortable moment for me. I figured it was awkward for us both.

"I won't."

"Draco."

"Hm?"

"Sex isn't always the answer." It sorta just came out, "Sometimes we need to talk."

He nodded. I wasn't sure if he even understood and just nodded to seem like he got it.

I slowly tip toed to plant a kiss on his cheek, I wasn't sure if that was okay seeing that he stood there just looking down at me with a pretty emotionless expression. 

"Come with me." I grabbed his hand and I was a bit surprised he took it.

We walked hand in hand towards my dorm. Draco paused though once he entered my room, he just stood there in the center. 

"You need sleep... please lay down." I was mentally begging for him to, Draco didn't look good especially with the bags under his eyes. It was obvious he wasn't getting any sleep, he could lie all he wants, I'm not stupid.
