Esme Ambrose (POV)
I was packing up all stuff I would need this year. Time has flown by pretty quickly, it'll now be my sixth year then after that just one more year. My parents were extremely proud of me since I was chosen to be a prefect this year. Anzac has been over a couple times, it was fun having company especially him.
Things with Draco are somewhat neutral right now. Everything was good, but he just stopped writing to me for weeks now. I did manage to pick up a daily prophet this morning and on the cover it read 'Malfoy Trial.' I knew his father was a death eater before but I couldn't imagine what he must be going through. I wish he would've told me something but that's Draco.
Lucy, I haven't heard from in awhile either, ever since that train ride. I would be sure to check up on her first thing.
I was wearing a black and white plaid skirt, a black long sleeve and black boots. I thought the skirt was a bit much but my mom swears I look absolutely beautiful in it. I just hated how it snugged my body.
Anzac and I were going to depart together. I decided not to ask or tell him anything about Draco, a part of me felt like he would kill me so rather not because of how protective he was.
"Esmeeee!! Are you ever coming?" Anzac shouted from downstairs.
"Yes Anzac!" I shouted back.
I started coming down with my luggage and made my way to our chimney.
"Okay I'm ready." I said. "Are you going first?"
Anzac just stared at me with his mouth hanging slightly open. "Um- Uh yeah I mean I can go."
I gave him small smile and he went through first than me. He changed a lot too during the summer.
We were walking through Diagon Alley, which seemed dark and abandoned. Definitely not how it was the previous years. We didn't have much time so we continued walking towards King's Cross Station.
"Are you at all worried?" I asked Anzac.
"There's obviously tension now with you-know-who being back, everything happening so fast." Anzac reassured. "But you have me, there's no need to worry."
He gave me a reassuring smile. I knew Anzac like a book, whenever he was scared or nervous of something he did his best to hide it, especially in front of me.
"Have you seen Lucy at all?" I asked.
"Hm no I actually haven't, I wrote her a couple of letters but never got anything in return." He said.
"That makes two of us, I hope she's alright." I said.
"Blaise said to me that she is, but who knows." He said. "Weird that they're talking again right?"
"Kinda, I don't know I always thought they were made for one another." I said.
"Draco has been an arse this summer though." He joked.
Wait so they were writing to each other but he couldn't write to me?
I couldn't say that though. "Oh yeah I heard about the trial." I brought it up. "Do you know how that went?"
"He's fine, don't worry." Anzac insisted, but I could tell that he was lying.
We walked through the wall to reach the same Platform as always. At least Anzac was with me, I didn't feel alone. We haven't found anyone yet but just kept passing through compartments.
I was in front of Anzac and when I lifted my head up I saw a platinum blonde in the distance. It was Draco. He was wearing an all black suit which fit him so nicely. He was tall and just beautiful to look at. This year he definitely got slimmer and pale, but I tried not to worry over it. I stopped in my tracks, and Anzac noticed and looked up now too. It wasn't just Draco, Lucy and Blaise were both there was well and seemed to be putting their bags away.
