Grace

The four of us get into the elevator when we arrive at the apartment building, but instead of pressing the button with a ten, Harry presses the button to the top floor.

"H, what are you doing?" I ask. Why does this man always have to change the plans?

"We are taking a little detour." He replies, smiling and raising his eyebrows quickly in my direction.

My eyes roll with a smile, shaking my head slightly as he doesn't give a clear answer again. The surprises stop getting exciting when there's a new one every few hours. And not everything needs to be a surprise. I hope he knows that.

The elevator doors open to the top floor and Harry walks out, the three of us following close behind. He's like a man on a mission, eyes scanning every door he passes.

He reaches a door that says in big red letters, 'EMERGENCY EXIT', pushing it open.

"Um, were you just taking the chance that the alarm wouldn't sound when you pushed that open?" Holly asks as we follow him out the door. He just shrugs in response, putting a brick that's nearby in the doorway so we don't get locked out. I'll take that as a yes.

The door leads us to the roof of the building and my eyes widen at the sight. If I thought the view from the balcony in my room was amazing, this is out of this world. We could see pretty far into the distance, but the real star of the show is the Eiffel Tower, all lit up and twinkling in the darkness.

I'll never get tired of the views in Paris. Living here could be nice. Maybe if I wasn't so dependent on New York pizza.

"You girls were trying so hard to get a picture with the whole tower, so I figured it may be easier from here." He tells us.

Harry likes fixing problems. That's his thing and I'm starting to recognize that. He doesn't like seeing people upset or unhappy, so he finds out the problem and does whatever he can to fix it in that moment.

"Well you didn't have to take us up to the roof Harry. We could have done this from the balcony." I remind him.

"Oh come on Grace, live a little! We're in Paris!" he exclaims, grinning wildly. "Come on, cameras, camcorders, everything, let's go." He puts his hand out, waiting for the devices.

Holly and I exchange a glance before smiling, digging into our bags to get our phones out. I hand Harry my phone after Holly, letting Elias take the camcorder. I make sure it's on and recording before giving him control though because if not he'll just be pointing a camera at us that isn't capturing anything. It's happened before.

Holly goes first, letting Harry take her picture with the Eiffel Tower.

"Woo! Work it girlie!" I encourage, laughing as she changes up her poses.

Harry chuckles as I cheer her on, adding in his own little compliments, but they just make Holly laugh hysterically. She shakes her head, coming back over to take her phone back and look at the pictures.

"Oh these are perfect! Gracie's turn!" she grins.

I roll my eyes slightly, going to stand further back from the cameras. The sight captivates me as I take in as much of it as possible. It's so beautiful.

The sound of Holly's giggles and gasps confuses me, so I turn around, only to see she's leaning over Harry's shoulder, looking at my phone.

"What?" I ask, getting nervous they're going through my stuff or something. Maybe I got a text and now they're reading through all my messages.
