*IVF*

Jo: what the hell?!

Alex: it's okay. Not everyone gets it right away.

Jo: Alex! We have been trying for four freaking months!

Alex: we can try IVF.

Jo: I don't want to do that! I want to do it, like we are supposed to do it. I want us to make a baby. Like everyone else does.

Alex: okay. Then we will just keep trying. Until we get it right.

Jo: Alex...

Alex: I know...

Jo: what if we can't do it. What if we can't make a baby.

Alex: then it will be okay. We can- we can travel. We can get a dog. If you want- maybe we can look into adoption.

Jo: I just. I want to do this. I want a baby. Of our own. That we make. On our own. I want to do it right.

Alex: I know you do. I do too. So let's just keep trying. We can keep trying.

Jo: we can?

Alex: of course we can Jo. I have absolutely no problem with trying

(He smirks)

Jo: your terrible

(She chuckles as she wipes the tears from her eyes)

Alex: come here

(He pulls her into his chest and tightly hugs her)

Alex: Do you know how much I love you?

(Jo looks up at him and smiles)

Jo: I do.

Alex: I don't think you do.

(He kisses her on the head)

Alex: My God Jo. I love you so much. If- if I didn't- I couldn't live without you. You make me smile when I'm upset. You make me laugh when all I want to do is yell. You find the silver lining in literally everything. Your perfect. Your all I need.

Jo: I love you. I love that you love me. And- I can live with it just being you and me.

Alex: it doesn't need to be just us. We can make a baby. We will. We will make a baby. I promise you we will get a baby. One way or another. We will have a baby.

(Jo grips onto his shirt tighter)

Jo: thank you.

Alex: want to try?

Jo: try what?

Alex: to make a baby.

(She looks up at him)

(He smirks)

(She goes on her tippy toes and kisses him)

(She wraps her arms around his neck)

(He pulls her into him tighter, kissing her harder)

(He picks her up onto him)

(Jo laughs)

Jo: I love you.

Alex: I love you.

Mer: how is she?

Alex: I don't know- she. She wants a baby. So badly. And I want to give her one. I just- it isn't- we've been trying for almost six months now. And- it isn't working.
