*Who Is That?*

(This is late season 9)

(Alex Karev moved to Iowa to help and care for his mother in the middle of season 8, a few months before the plane crash)

(His mother sadly passed away four weeks ago after an overdose, She had just finished one of her episodes that was particularly difficult and hard on Alex. So Helen she decided to stop being a "burden" to her boy by taking her whole bottle of pills)

(Jo walks up to the nurses station where all her intern buddies are hanging around)

Jo: ugh...

Leah: what's your problem?

Jo: nothing.

Stephanie: it's Peckwell.

(Heather chuckles)

Heather: who?

Stephanie: Chest Peckwell?

(She says confused and looks over at Jo who looks disappointed)

Stephanie: oh. They didn't know about-?

(Jo looks down and smiles disappointed)

Stephanie: sorry...

(Jo looks up)

Jo: don't worry about it.

Leah: so who is it?

Jo: just a guy...

Stephanie: Just a guy? Jo. You-

(Stephanie looks over at Leah and Heather)

Stephanie: yeah. He's just a guy. That Jo has been mooning over the last 6 months.

Ross: I don't understand women. If you like him, why not just tell him?

(Jo laughs)

Jo: oh you're serious? Who do you think I am? I'm not about to talk to him.

(Meredith is standing in front of the elevators a few feet away)

Ross: what's the worse that can happen? He says no?

Jo: Yes. Exactly. That would be so embarrassing.

Ross: C'mon-

(Stephanie looks over at the elevator)

Stephanie: what's Medusa doing?

Jo: I don't even care- she's a bitch. She hates me. She has literally never done anything remotely nice to me,

Leah: well she's an attending, they're all like that.

Heather: I'm with Jo. She's a bitch.

Jo: thank you.

Heather: but it is weird. She's been standing there for ten minutes.

Ross: she's probably just waiting on the elevator.

Heather: it's opened and closed like four times.

(The elevator doors open)

(Meredith looks up pitiful but smiles)

(Everyone but Jo and Ross are watching)

(Jo is looking down feeling pity for herself and Ross is staring at her)

(A man walks out of the elevator)

(Him and Meredith hug)

Stephanie: huh. Never thought I'd see the day where she was affectionate towards someone:::
