(Jo runs into the kitchen where Alex is making eggs)

(Bella is sitting on the island in front of him coloring in her book)

Alex: You get paged?

Jo: no. Going solo today. So much work. Better be worth it.

Alex: it will be.

Jo: I thought Med school was tough. Being an intern sucks.

Alex: You know I can tell them to take it easy on you. I know-

Jo: No Alex. I don't want any special treatment because we're married. Please?

Alex: fine.

Jo: thank you.

(She pours her coffee into her yeti and closes it)

(She kisses Alex)

Jo: Bye. Love you.

Alex: Love you.

(She walks to Bella and kisses her on the head)

Jo: Bee-

(Annabelle looks up at her)

Bella: Yeah?

Jo: I'm gonna try to pick you up from pre-k today but I'm not 100%. So nanny Lily might be the one picking you up. Okay?

Bella: Okay.

Jo: Shit. Alex. I forgot to call the caterer for her birthday. Can you please call them and confirm this weekend?

Alex: I got it. Go be awesome.

(She smiles and mouths "i love you")

(He mouths it back and she runs out the door)

(30 minutes later she is doing rounds with her intern group and Doctor Grey)

Meredith: Wilson. Present.

Jo: Alan Barber. 62. Complained of lower abdominal pain. In for a laparoscopic appendectomy. Scheduled for surgery at 11:30am today.

Meredith: good job. Mr. Barber. Doctor Wilson here will be preforming your surgery today.

(He smiles at Jo)

Mr. Barber: thank you.

Jo: no problem.

(She smiles and everybody leaves the room)

(The interns go their separate ways)

Meredith: Wilson.

(Jo turns around smiling)

Jo: yes doctor Grey?

Meredith: You're doing post ops.

(Jo's smile fades)

Meredith: Do you have a problem with that?

Jo: uh. No. No. Thank you for the opportunity Doctor Grey.

(She turns around upset and picks up her phone)

(She texts the nanny and let's her know that she can't pick her up and then goes to the skills lab to practice for the appy)

(She starts walking to the skills lab when Alex sees her)

Alex: Doctor Wilson.

(Jo turns)

Jo: Karev.

(They walk into the skills lab)

Alex: when's your surgery?
