(It's been a week since Jo's birthday)

(Alex has been slammed in school and has only been able to visit his mom and Jo once)

(Jo is in her room, reading another book)

(Lisa walks in)

Lisa: knock knock.

Jo: who's there?

(She says confused)

(Lisa laughs)

Lisa: wasn't a knock knock joke. But. I do have something for you...

Jo: if it's one of those crappy hospital donuts you can keep it. They're nasty. And.... I don't need the calories. Your shit is filled with carbs.

Lisa: is not a donut. And watch the language.

Jo: sorry. So. What is it.

(Lisa walks in and sits on the edge of her bed)

(Jo puts her book down and sits up)

(She takes the box from behind her back and hands it to Jo)

Lisa: late birthday gift. All of the employees weren't in on it.

Jo: you didn't have to do that.

Lisa: I know. But we wanted to.

(Jo smiles)

Lisa: open it.

Jo: okay...

(She laughs while unwrapping it)

(She sees the apple on the white box)

(Jo looks up shocked)

Jo: you didn't-

(Lisa smiles)

(No continues unwrapping it)

Jo: oh my god! You got me a phone!?

(Lisa laughs)

Lisa: we all pitched in.

Jo: Thank you!

(She leaves over and hugs her)

(Jo opens it)

Lisa: now. No password. And if you- just don't do anything stupid?

Jo: I won't. I promise. Oh my god! Thank you So much!

Lisa: you're welcome. Oh. And Alex will be here in an hour-

(Jo smirks and bites her lip)

Lisa: in case you want to shower, and get dressed?

Jo: yeah. Thanks.

Lisa: okay. I gotta get back to work. Have fun with your new phone.

Jo: Thank you.

Lisa: mhm.

(She walks out)

(Jo runs up, shuts the door, gets on her bed and starts jumping with joy)

(She gets a shower and gets dressed)
