Izuku's POV

As I laid in bed with Y/n, I couldn't help but think of her past. I wondered how much it's affected her, and how she deals with it even to this day.

"Y/n?" I called for her. "Hmm?" "What do you think about Ren?" I asked her.

"Well,..." she paused for a second to think. "He's a sneaky ungrateful bastard that abandoned his family and didn't feel like dealing with the shit from lying about his death so decided to pin it on his young daughter."

"So obviouslay not too well," I concluded. "I mean, why should I think of him any other way than a dickhead of a father?" She asked me, turning her head to look me in the eyes as she played with a bracelet that hung off of her wrist.

"I'm just saying, maybe there's more to him just up and leaving you guys. Like cmon Y/n, does that even sound right to you?" I asked her. "Men don't need to make sense, Izuku. If they think what they did was fair and justified, then that's exactly what it was and there's nothing me or anyone else can do to change that because that's how the world works. The man gets the privileges and everything they do is right, everything they say is law, and you're damned to hell if you disrespect or disobey a man. They're not my rules, they're the worlds'" she finished.

She was absolutely right, though. In the world we live in, the man doesn't have to make sense to the woman, and has just about complete control over her. It's honestly sort of fucked up if you truly think about it.

"Yeah, trust me I know, but I just wanted you to think about there being some sort of loop in what he did. Some sort of reasoning that was at least half logical to why he would do what he did that wasn't cruel to you or Michi," I explained to her.

"I know that," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

That day when Ren kidnapped me and had his little talk with me, I knew half the words that came out of his mouth were bullshit. You could tell by his sudden change in tone, his eyes, his fidgeting when he would throw little lies into the truth.

But the thing is, when you have a truth, and you continuously throw in lies, it's no longer able to be identified as a truth. So when Ren threw in all of those lies into his truth, it erased the whole purpose of the truth, blending into the false he added into it, and basically turning what would've been right into wrong.

"Can we not talk about this anymore? About him, please?" Y/n pleaded. How could I even say no to her?

"Of course," I told her, wrapping my arm around her shoulders and pressing her cool body against mine to warm her up.

"It's so cold, do you want your hoodie back?" She asked me, feeling me slightly shiver from being a little chilly in her dorm room.

"Nah I'm fine, and that yours now," I told her nonchalantly, not caring about giving her one of my favorite hoodies. And he's giving it to me? Yeah, this one's a keeper. Y/n thought to herself regarding the kind gift I gave to Y/n without hesitation.

Although her heart warmed up at the thought of me giving her the new piece of clothing she planned to keep either way, her mind couldn't help but wander back to our previous conversation about her father.

She wondered whether she should consider what I was saying to her, or just let the conversation drop completely and never brought up again, but as much as she would prefer to go with the second option, her mind wouldn't let her as all she could think about was Ren having an actual, logical, fair reasoning for abandoning the family.

Even if he did, it would erase the pain felt by the family and the long years of recovering from such a hard blow.

Whether there be a reason, however, that reason would have to be a damn good one for Y/n to ever even consider having a calm sit down conversation with the man. On second thought, he'd have to have more than just a good reason, it'd have to be extraordinarily great in order to even capture a second of Y/n's attention for her to even give a small thought about her having anything to do with her father.

Especially since now he involves himself with the league of villains, she would have to be extra cautious just in case the slick man had anything planned up his sleeve.

Being knocked out of her trans of thought by the relaxment of Izuku's tensed up muscles and heavy breathing indicating he fell asleep, Y/n proceeded to do the same as she allowed her mind to temporarily take her away from this dimension of chaos, drama, and problems, and take her into a more calm world of dreams, away from her troubling reality.
