Chapter 36 : Let's just run for our lives

Beomgyu keeps running. To be honest, he himself doesn't know where he will be going with Taehyun in his arms. He spare a glance behind him and saw Yeonjun was tailing them. He focus back on the track, as he hears Taehyun's faint sobs. His legs are about to give up soon, and they were far enough from their dorm, more like, the crime scene.

Yes, Yeonjun had committed a crime. Even if he cannot be punish in the court because he's a vampire, the vampire hunters will take him and dispose him for the good to human communities. Upon hearing the siren, Beomgyu didn't even spare seconds and ran, bringing Taehyun in bridal style. He had been told by his parents when he was a kid, the policemen in the human world are working with the vampire hunters.

If they hear any police car sirens, they need to run. They must run, for their lives. Which is why Beomgyu didn't think twice and brought Taehyun with him, running away.

His eyes caught an empty alley just right around the corner and immediately makes a turn before hiding behind the big green trash bin. Shortly after, Yeonjun arrived.

Panting, Beomgyu slowly put Taehyun down, but the younger didn't let go of him. Yeonjun flops to the ground, panting hardly, catching his breath. He could feel his head is spinning due to the all of the stunts he had done earlier.

"Sunshine?"

Beomgyu called. Taehyun didn't answer. He tiptoes, wrapping his arms around the older's neck tighter as he buries his face into the crook of Beomgyu's neck. Yeonjun immediately raises his head up hearing the nickname Beomgyu had called Taehyun.

"Please, just let's stay like this. Can we?"

The silvernette pleaded. Beomgyu softly nodded, before hugging the younger by his waist, drawing circles on his back, comforting the latter in the warmest way as possible. He didn't forgot to plant little kisses on Taehyun's forehead, and the scent of strawberries enter his nostrils.

"He died, hyung. He was my bestfriend"

Taehyun muttered in between his cries. Yeonjun's heart sank. He couldn't help but feel guilty. He slowly get up before kneeling on both of his knees facing Taehyun and Beomgyu.

"I'm sorry"

He apologised. Taehyun slowly retracting away from Beomgyu, turning around and crouching down to be on the same eye level with the scarlet hair male. His lips is trembling greatly, the tip of his nose is getting redder any seconds, as his eyes and cheeks are both puffy. He weakly punches Yeonjun's chest. Again. And again. And again. Repeating it over and over again to the level where the punches keep getting stronger that Beomgyu eventually has to stop him by holding his arms and pulling him away from Yeonjun. The scarlet hair male has enough.

"Why?? Why would you do that??"

Taehyun questioned as his tears that once stopped, roll down on his cheeks like waterfalls from his eyes. Yeonjun bites his lips.

"Calm down, sunshine. Calm down, hm?"

"HE JUST KILLED MY FRIEND!!"

Beomgyu flinches at Taehyun's rage. His pupils, are trembling as they scan Taehyun's face. He couldn't help but pity the younger.

"I know, sunshine. I know"

Beomgyu said, pulling the younger into another warm hug hoping that it would calm Taehyun down.

"A sorry could not make him alive again, hyung. He's dead and gone"

Taehyun sobs, crumpling Beomgyu's shirt. Yeonjun hung his head low. Afterall, he was the one who killed Hueningkai. Taehyun slowly broke the hug, turning away from Yeonjun amd Beomgyu as he feels like throwing up all his insides due to his nonstop crying. He coughs. Concern, Beomgyu rubs his back softly, as Taehyun fights back the urge of vomiting. Then the ravenette turns to his older brother who was still kneeling for forgiveness.

"Hyung"

He called, walking rowards the redhead before kneeling on one knee. Eyes looking straight into the older's eyes as he placed his hand on one of Yeonjun's shoulders. The scarlet hair male slowly raises his head up. Eyes all teary and cheeks stained with guilty tears and lips quivering.

"It wasn't me. Why don't you believe me, Beom?"

Yeonjun asked. A glimpse of sadness could be seen in his crimson orbs. Beomgyu sighs.

"I want to, hyung. I want to believe you. But, you don't have any proof that it wasn't you"

Beomgyu replied. Yeonjun takes Beomgyu's hand in his, holding it firmly as he shakes his head.

"Please, Beom. It wasn't me. I wouldn't kill my own friendㅡ Noㅡ Iㅡ I don't know why my body are just moving by itself. I tried telling myself to stop, but my body didn't"

Yeonjun rapped his words out. He was panicking and he really wanted to prove all of his words, but too bad, he could only say it without any evidence. Beomgyu's eyes shoot wide.

"Is this the same case as Taehyun's the other day?"

He suddenly blurted out. Yeonjun then realised what the other Choi was talking about and his eyes went wide in an instant. The youngest among them immediately turns around. He wipes his tears off harshly with his palms before approaching the two brothers and kneeling down as well.

"What do you mean?"

He asked, voice cracking a bit.

"Yeonjun was being manipulated, just like what happened to you the other day"

Beomgyu explained.

"Is it by the same person?"

Taehyun asked for the second time.

"Maybe, but why they are targeting Hueningkai? The poor kid did zero wrong"

Beomgyu said. Yeonjun thought about it for a bit.

"I think this have to be the Minseol's people doingsㅡ"

"But why?"

Yeonjun shrugs. He doesn't know why the Minseol suddenly targeting Hueningkai. He understands it if they are targeting Beomgyu or him, but why Hueningkai?

"Whatever it is, we'll go back to the dorm tonight"

Yeonjun replied, as the two males nodded. Althought the oldest discovered some mosquitoe bites on Taehyun's neck and collarbone,but he didn't question any of it. Right now, he just assume that Beomgyu and Taehyun are dating, that's for sure.
