Y/N POV
Me and Dream were in a clearing in the woods we'd set up not to far away from our cabin, it was night time and we decided to train our skills. We stood at opposite ends and got ready, him rolling up the sleeves of his hoodie as I messed with the mask that sat on my neck with one hand as I messed with my goggles with the second. Once we were ready we both sprung into action in no time at all. I swung my sword toward his mask, him backing away before coming back at me with an axe to my chest, me blocking that with a shield. The axe got stuck in the shield so before dream could get it back I smiled cheekily at him and grabbed the axe, flinging it into a tree pretty far away. I got closer and swung again, Dream throwing a potion in the air before jumping up himself and kicking it, creating smoke that pour down, I quickly put my mask up and waited for any sign of Dream, Knowing him he'd probably be setting something up. I noticed a green glowstick light up and get thrown to the floor, no move being made after that. I made no advances toward it knowing it was almost definitely a trap and started to look around instead. I got the urge to look behind me and just as I was about to turn around I got elbowed in the back of the neck. I made a pained noise before grabbing his hand with both my hands and throwing him over me into the trap which turned out to be nothing. As the smoke started to clear I noticed Dream was already back up and had already gotten his axe back
"Its never fun when you get your weapons back so quickly you know." " then come get it from me if you have such an issue with me having it"
I ran toward him and tackled him to the floor, being cautious of his arms, trying to pin him down
"I didn't know our relationship had come this far, please, save it for the bedroom"
I ignored his remark and started to pin his arms above his head, smiling as I took his axe again and threw it further into the darkness, not even I could see it. Dream just laughed and kicked me in the leg, distracting me just enough to be able to get an arm free. When I turned back to him he elbowed me in the face and broke my goggles
"... Whoops?" " you fucking bastard"
I got up and threw my goggles to the floor before grabbed two swords from the holsters on my back. He did the same and we both charged, I sliced some of his hoodie, leaving a small gash on his arm, he got me in the leg, making a deeper cut them what I gave him. We went on for a few more minutes until he got me pretty badly in the collarbone
"Y/N!" " I'm alright" "I'm so sorry... We need to get back, that's enough for tonight" "Really? If you never let me get injured enough I'll never learn" "Well I think your doing a good enough job without getting hurt, let's go back for the night, please? We'll do this again in a week and I might let you go further" "Fine."
We walked back to the cabin slowly, Dream tore off some of his hoodie and made me hold it against my collarbone with pressure to help stop the bleeding just a bit. We walked in silence and for once it made me panic
"I'm sorry about your goggles..." " It's fine dream, I can always make more" "I know, it's just you liked those ones" "Its fine, seriously dream, I can make new ones" "..." " don't make me have to hug you until you agree with me" "Maybe that's what I want you to do" "Maybe I won't do that then" "Please?" " maybe once we get back and patched up" "Fine."
