Lucas sighed, happy. Because she was happy.

Lucas rolled onto his back, content. He loved his girlfriend. Glancing over at a dresser, he slowly stood and opened it.

Inside was a glimmering ring, a blue diamond in the center.

It matched her eyes.

Lucas was planning to propose on said date that the couple just finished. But oddly..

Athanasia seemed like she was getting distant.

She was always huffing at Lucas, less hugs than usual (which was odd, since she was a cuddlebug), and no kisses.

Which is like, the main part of their relationship.

Lucas closed the drawer containing the ring.

Athy ❤ :
I wanted to kiss you tonight

Lucas looked over at his phone, surprised. She did?

Lu 💙 : 
Why didn't you?

Lucas waited with bated breath. Did his girlfriend hate him, or did she just need some sleep?

Athy ❤ is typing…

Athy ❤ :
You were too tall, you prick. Can't reach your face.

Lucas snorted. So his girlfriend didn't hate him, she was just short.

Lu 💙 :
You could've just asked me to lean down, y'know

At this, Lucas couldn't help but cackle.

He loved his girlfriend.

In a house a few blocks away, a certain blonde was blushing into her own pillow.

On top of her dresser sat a ruby ring.
