The Babies

PART 43

I walked in and I saw him looking through some mail "this is for you" Derek says. I look at him confused and take the envelope
I looked at my name on the envelope
I opened the envelope...

I read my name.

dear, y/n l/n

I froze "what? what happened?" Derek ask I closed the letter and put it back in the envelope. I walked back up the stairs and to Alex and I bedroom. I took the envelope and shoved it on the bottom of the drawer. I closed the drawer snd walk out backdown stairs "what happened?" Jackson asked concerned

"nothing" I say pissed.

I sat back down on the couch "how's you and Merediths house going?" I ask Derek as he sits down "its good, the walls are up" he says.

I lay down in the bed with the twins bedside me. I cover us up and I fall asleep.

someone shook me I open my eyes and see Alex. he kissed my cheek "get up baby" he says. I groan

I pull the covers off me, trying hard not to wake up the twins  I walk over and wrap my arms around him. he wraps his arms around me to "your warm" he says.  putting his head in my neck. "I dont want to go to work. theres no E.R. which means no trauma. no excitement" I complain letting go. I walk over to the dresser and pull out some clothes and put them on.

"like I was barely awake last night because I just sat in the nurses desk because I had no surgeries" Alex says. we walk out of the bedroom and to the kitchen. i hop on the counter.

"I bought you coffee" he says handing me a cup. "aww thank you" I say and kiss him.

"so about the house thing..." Alex says. "I want to do it. lets build a house lets do it" I say smiling. "really?" Alex eyes light up. I nod "lets do it" I say

"find a lot and start maping it out?" Alex ask. "yes baby lets do it" I say getting off the counter and hugging him.

Meredith and Derek walk in "good morning" they say.

"morning" I laugh

"has anyone heard from April?" I ask. "have you not heard?" Alex ask "obviously not. whats going on?" "she's seeing-" Jackson walked in so Meredith stopped talking. "whats going on?" he ask. "nothing" I sip my coffee

"April is seeing a Emt driver named Matthew. there" he says grabbing a drink out of the fridge.

I looked a Meredith wide eyed. she just sipped her coffee.

"back to the hospital?" I ask Alex.  he nods. we walk out of the kitchen and up the stairs, we see the twins still sleeping I rub there backs for them to wake up. Everleigh sits up and wipes the hair out of her face.

I pick her up and it her on the bed. She sits there out of it 
Alex sat on the bed and she looked over at him and smiled "hi baby" he says and she smiles and looks away

I looked at her and laughed "what's wrong?" I ask putting her clothes on
I hand her, her socks and shoes "ask daddy to put them on" I say. She looks over at Alex  she hands him her shoes "pease" she says
He helps her as I wake up ryker and get him ready.

Alex got up and everleigh crawled off the bed.
He reached in the crib and grabbed her blanket and she stood at his feet and waited for him to give it to her. He gave it to her and she snuggled it and walked out of the room
Ryker was attached to my hip half asleep.

I walked down the stairs and to the kitchen

I seen Jackson drinking coffee

Ryker looked up and reached to him "hey buddy, your lip looks so much better" he says "that's what I was gonna ask you about" I laugh. I packed the twins stuff and see everleigh run in. I grabbed the bags and then I took Ryker from Jackson and everleigh followed me out the kitchen. We walked out of the door and I put ryker in the car and then picked up everleigh and put her in.
Alex comes out of the hosue and we get in the car and head to the hospital
