Talia's POV

"Mama?" I hear my baby boy say.

"Yes Bubba?" I say as I finish getting dressed.

"Sing for Sibby's?" Axel asks.

"Sure buddy." I say. "Let Mama finish getting dressed then we will."

Axel nods then he sits on my bed as I finish getting dressed.

Once I finish gettin dressed, I head out into my bedroom, pick my eldest son up, then we walk down stairs with our dogs Maui and Atlas and head to the youngest twins' rooms.

"Mama." Lanie says from Leah's lap.

"Hi Baby." I say as I sit down next to my wife then Axel climbs into my lap.

"You found Mama." Leah says as she scratches Axel's head.

Axel nods with a smile then he peaks into the crib of his siblings.

"What song do you want me to sing Bubba?" I ask.

"Special Song."

Special song is what Axel and Lanie call the song I sung for Leah and I's first dance.

Oh I'm obsessed
With the way your head is laying on my chest
How you love the things I hate about myself that no one knows
But with you I see hope again

Oh I'm a mess
When I overthink the little things in my head
You seem to always help me catch my breath but then I lose it again
When I look at you, that's the end

And why do I get so nervous when I look into your eyes?
Butterflies can't stop me falling for you

And darling, this is more than anything I've felt before
You're everything that I want but I didn't think I'd find
Someone who was worth the wait of all the years of my heartbreak
But I know now I've found the one I love

And I love the way
You can never find the right things to say
And you can't sit still an hour in a day
I'm so in love, let's run away
Because us is enough

And why do I get so nervous when I look into your eyes?
And butterflies can't stop me falling for you

And darling, this is more than anything I've felt before
You're everything that I want but I didn't think I'd find
Someone who was worth the wait of all the years of my heartbreak
But I know now I've found the one

Come close
Let me be home for anything
Good or bad, I know it's worth it, whoa

And darling, this is more than anything I've felt before
You're everything that I want but I didn't think I'd find
Someone who was worth the wait of all the years of my heartbreak
But I know now I've found the one I love

"Aww." Leah whispers. "All four of them are asleep."

My singing usually knocks my kids out.

"Well it is their nap time." I say then my wife and I lay Lanie and Axel down on the normal bed in the room.

Once the eldest twins are laying down, Leah grabs one of the baby monitors then we quietly leave the room.

After we leave the room, I shut the door then I wrap my arms around my wife.

"Hello." I say into my wife's neck.

"Hi Moonshine." Leah says.

"I missed you." I mumble.

"I missed you too Baby."

Leah, Zaire, and Kaia just got home from Europe.

Lanie, Axel, and I got home yesterday.

"The World Cup's gonna suck." I say as my wife and I head down stairs.

"Talia we'll be in the same country and we have FaceTime."

"But I can't kiss you." I say with a pout.

"Dork." Leah says with a smile then she kisses my pout away.

After Leah kisses me, I hear a knock on the front door so I go see who it is.

"Hi T." Becky Sauerbrunn says.

"Hello." I say then I open the door wider to let everyone in.

Once everyone is inside, I lead the former US women's national team players and the camera crew around my house.

"Can we film in here?" One of the filmmakers asks as we get to my trophy room.

Leah has her own trophy room right next door, but after the World Cup I'm gonna knock down the wall between the two rooms so we can have one large Trophy room.

"That's fine." I say then the camera crew set up.

My documentary comes out in a few days so I have to do media for it.

Today I'm filming a video for the USWNT YouTube channel with Abby Wambach, Lauren Cheney, Heather O'Reilly, Becky Sauerbrunn, and Hope Solo.

Once the camera crew have set up, they start rolling.

"How many do you have?" Cheney asks as she and the other ladies look at all the jerseys I've switched for.

"58 international jerseys." I say. "But NWSL, WSL, and APL I have no clue since I switch after every league game."

"And every International game." Becky says.

"Mhmm." I say.

"Why do you wear number 14?" HAO asks as she looks at the framed jersey I wore when I scored my 100th goal.

"Axel and Lanie's birthday is the 14th." I say.

"Oh." HAO says as we sit down on the chairs that were set up for us.

"So when did you realize you were filming something special?" Hope asks.

"When I watched the documentary four days ago." I say.

"You didn't realize you're goal scoring was insane?" Abby asks.

In the 2022 Calendar year, I scored 110 goals in 64 games for club and country which is a world record.

The previous record was held by Lionel Messi when he scored 91 goals in 69 games for club and country back in 2012.

"I knew I was scoring a lot, but until the award ceremonies I didn't really think it was anything special." I say. "I mean I'm paid to score goals so it didn't really feel like a big deal to me."

"Did you keep a tally of all the goals you scored?" Cheney asks.

"Um." I say. "All I know is this past year I scored 82 goals in 38 games for Inter New York and I scored 28 goals in 26 games for the national team for a total of 110 goals in 2022 alone."

"What do you think spurred this past year of domination?" Abby Wambach asks.

"No clue." I say. "I just tried to put the ball in the back of the net."

"How do you feel about the people saying it's not impressive that you scored 110 goals in a year because it's woman's football." HAO asks.

"Messi scored 91 goals in a calendar year yet all anyone ever did then was kiss his ass." I say. "And if people think it's so easy then I'd like to see them try."
