Chapter Twenty-Five

As the sunrays disturbed my eyes, making me blink hurriedly...

Shit,I didn't close the window before sleeping yesterday night..

I opened my eyes, breathing in a well baked pancakes, I hurriedly stood up from my bed rushing downstairs, only to see my brother in a baggy trouser and a black cardigan covered with apron...

"Good morning, Barbie." William said as I smiled..

"Good morning, Will." I said as I walked to the kitchen counter where he was making some pancakes...

"Well, someone woke up more early today." William said..

"What do you mean?" I said.

"Well, you look a lit-" William was cut in by the doorbell..

"I'll get it." William said as he removed his apron,as he moved towards the door while I stole some pancakes..

"Anna, you have a visitor." William said as he came to the sitting..

" Who's it?" I said turning around with pancakes filled in my mouth as Daniel appeared at the back of William,as I gulped the uneaten pancakes down my throat...

"Hi." Daniel said waving to me..

"Umm," I cleared my throat as I walked close to William and dragged him upstairs..

I opened the door of my room, pushing William in as I closed the door..

"Why didn't you tell me?" I said as I went to check myself in the mirror...

" I told you, that you had a visitor, infact you yourself heard the doorbell." William said as I continued to check myself in the mirror,I was in my pajamas, it was big,my hair was also rough as I scoffed..

"Not that, this." I said the last part pointing to myself...

"That was what I was about to say before the doorbell rang and as a matter of fact, what's the big deal?" William said as I scoffed..

" Is he the one?" William added making me looking at him in a surprised way...

"Get out of my room." I said as I pushed him out of the room...

He isn't helping...

I entered the bathroom,as I allowed the warm water pelt on my skin, after bathing,I tied a towel around my body, looked at the dressing closet with a smirk on my face...

Daniel is here because of Harris issue,that means it's likely for us to go out... I should wear something more casual but a little sexy...

I thought,as a mischievous smile appeared on my face... I myself don't know what's happening to me..

I wore a tight black trouser which had few cut on it,a white top that had short sleeves and a sneakers....

I straightened my hair in a wavy style and packed it a ponytail, applied lip gloss and a little powder.... I smiled at myself in the mirror in satisfaction....

I went downstairs, when I met Daniel and William eating the pancakes, smiling happily...

What the?.

I cleared my throat to get their attention, but they were busy with their guys life...

How fun? I thought in a mockingly way.

I went downstairs to the dinning as I gently sat down, bringing their attention...

"Wow,are you two going out?" William said as I could feel Daniel's eyes on mine and I smiled shyly..

"Well, not really we have important things to meet up with." I said as I put some pancakes in my mouth...

"Oh." William said nodding his head

I could feel Daniel's eyes on me throughout the breakfast....

After the breakfast, William waved us goodbye...

Daniel and I waved William goodbye as I looked around, when I saw a really expensive car..

"We're driving today not running." Daniel said close to my ear...as he walked to the driver's seat and I followed him, sitting beside him,nice smell,the car smelled new..

"Where are we headed?" I asked him as he kissed his teeth in..

"Well, I kinda found where Harris is or should I say some people close to Harris?" Daniel said as I smiled but inside me,damn I'm not happy..

"We are almost close to him." Daniel added with a smile..

"Tell me after finding Harris,are we still going to be talking." I said as Daniel looked at me in a surprised way...

" Let's not talk about this." Daniel said as he moved his eyes away from mine..

" But Daniel." I said..

"People ask me to predict the future, when all I want to do is prevent it. Better yet, build it. Predicting the future is much too easy, anyway. You look at the people around you, the street you stand on, the visible air you breathe, and predict more of the same. To hell with more. I want better." Daniel said as I looked at him short of words..

What's the change in him?

"Daniel,If you don't think about the future, you cannot have one." I said..

" I know, but I don't want to have a future, when I already know how it will end." Daniel said..

" What's wrong?" I said, I know something is wrong..

" Daniel,Never let the future disturb you. You will meet it, if you have to, with the same weapons of reason which today arm you against the present." I added..

" Well, I don't want to think about the future,I want to make memories, memories that would help me in the future, either the bad or the good ones, memories that would make me cry, laugh and think, memories with you." Daniel said as I looked at him in a shocked way...

"Memories with me." I said pointing to myself but Daniel didn't give me a response and started the engine....

After, some few minutes of drive with deadly slience... Daniel stopped at a big mall...

"Why are we at the mall? Is Harris here?" I said looking at Daniel...

"We are at the mall to make memories." Daniel said....
