Pranbir: His redemption

Part 61

Dinner time:
Prachi was the only one in the room. She was on her phone when Pragya came there.

Pragya:"Prachi...." She called her out to catch her attention.
Prachi:"maa... why did you bring it upstairs?"
Pragya:"because you should not get tired. Now, shhhh. Let me feed you today."

Prachi, happily:"ok..."
Pragya sat next to her and proceeded to feed her. She fed her the first bite.

Prachi:"Maa, you are not upset, right?"
Pragya, concentrating on the food more:"about what?"
Prachi:"about Rhea..."
Pragya looked at her.

Prachi:"i know how much you missed her and how much you wanted your complete family...."
Pragya, feeding her another bite:"i know, you have seen it all. No matter how much i tried to hide it from you, you always saw it."

Prachi nodded yes.
Pragya:"but that's also true, that she tried to hurt you, Prachi.
I thought that i could help her, that i could stop her but she was too far gone.
And no, i am not upset, Prachi. Because i got you and i know i will always have you."

Prachi hugged her.
Pragya:"enough now, eat."
She continued to feed her lovingly.

Prachi:"have you eaten?"
Pragya:"first you finish this, you have medicines to drink."

After feeding her, Pragya left from there. She didn't know about her medicines so she went to inform Ranbir.
Prachi felt her ankle throbbing and removed the blanket. She noticed it bleeding.

At the same time, Ranbir came there and noticed it as well.
Ranbir, worriedly:"i will change the bandage."
Prachi, uncertainly:"are you sure you can?"
Ranbir:"are you doubting me, Mrs Kohli?"

Prachi:"of course not, Mr. Kohli."
He looked on smilingly.
Prachi, teasingly:"I am doubting, Dr. Kohli."
He glared at her while she chuckled.

Ranbir, sarcastically:"very funny."
He brought the first aid box and carefully removed the bandage.
He noticed her creased forehead as she anticipated the pain.

He cleaned the wound with a cotton and put the medicine.
Ranbir, carefully:"you let me know if i am hurting you."
She nodded yes.

He took the ointment and proceeded to put it on the wound. As soon as his fingers touched her ankle, Prachi yelled.

Prachi:"ouch..."
He immediately removed his hand and looked at her.
Ranbir, worriedly:"sorry, sorry..."

He once looked at her and noticed how she was holding her chuckles.
Ranbir:"you are in an extremely teasing mood today."
She shrugged cutely.

He once again began to put medicine on her ankle. Although he knew she was joking, he still did it with lots of precautions.
Prachi was looking at him lovingly while he concentrated on her wound.

She was so lost in him that she didn't realise that he was done.
His eyes met hers as he looked up. A smile tugged on his lips as he caught her admiring him.

But she didn't look away as he expected to. Instead she held his gaze on her. They both had an eye-lock.

He broke the eye-contact first, and looked back at her ankle.
Ranbir:"All done. Now you can sleep."
Prachi:"Sleep, already?"
She looked away childishly.

He sat next to her and questioned her.
Ranbir:"what do you want to do?"
She looked at him excitedly while he was surprised.
Prachi:"Aryan said there is a new horror movie, let's watch."

Ranbir, amusedly:"since when did you start to watch horror movies?"
Prachi:"Aryan made me. Please call him."
Ranbir:"ok, ok."
He took his phone and called Aryan.
