Once Steven calmed down he went back into the apartment. Him and Malaysia are sitting at the kitchen table.

"This is my fault", said Steven.

"No. He was with me", said Malaysia. "I'm at fault. I- I was panicking and I tried to fight him but he knocked me out. I was too weak"

"It was my job to protect him", said Steven.

"It was mine too", said Malaysia.

Steven looked at her.

"Red hair?", he asked.

"It's a wig.", said Malaysia. "Don't think I like it much"

"I like it", he said. "It's different"

"...thanks", said Malaysia. "I see you rocking the braids now"

"Yea...this chick be doing my hair for me", said Steven. "I look stupid or something?"

"It's cute", she said. "Different"

Steven nods. "Appreciate it", he said.

Malaysia stood up from the chair. "Excuse me for a moment. I gotta get something from my room", she said.

"You got something for me?", he asked.

"No. My phone is in there", she said.

"Oh", he replied.

Malaysia walked out of the kitchen and to her room. As she did that, someone knocked at the door.

Steven stood up and walked to the door. Malaysia came walking to the door by the time he opened the door.

Steven looked at Jaquavius.

"Who you?", asked Jaquavius.

"You knocked on this door", said Steven.

Malaysia moved Steven out of the way.

"Sorry about that. What's up Jaquavius?", she asked.

"I came to give you something of yours while I was on my way to go somewhere but I see that you have company", said Jaquavius.

Malaysia walked outside and shut the door behind her.

"Now I see why you don't wanna get close. You talking to somebody else too", said Jaquavius.

"No. That's not true", said Malaysia.

Jaquavius grabbed her hand and put her bracelet in it.

"It don't matter", said Jaquavius.

"It does because you're thinking something completely wrong. I haven't seen him in years, I— I have a lot to explain to you but I can't do that right now", said Malaysia.

Steven opened the door.

"Yea she has a lot to explain. I mean a lot. You don't even know", said Steven.

"Steven stop", said Malaysia,

"Steven? Oh okay", he said. "Say no more."

Jaquavius started walking away.

Malaysia followed him.

"You're a liar. I guess I was just pussy whipped", said Jaquavius.

"How about I just explain things to you and you'd understand", said Malaysia.

"You wanna open up now? Now that you done got caught up? Hell nah. Fuck that", said Jaquavius before walking away again.

Malaysia watched him for a moment then walked back to her apartment.

"Boyfriend? Or should I say ex boyfriend now? Yikes", said Steven.

Malaysia rolled her eyes before walking into the apartment.

Steven smirked before walking into the apartment.

"What I do?", he asked.

"You know what you did but I don't even wanna talk about that. It's none of your business", said Malaysia.

"I didn't know you had a little boyfriend", said Steven

"He's not my boyfriend", said Malaysia.

"You been at his house all night. You a hickey on your neck", said Steven.

Malaysia touched her neck.

"I know you just ain't fucking niggas you ain't with", said Steven.

"If I am?", she asked.

"Then what happened to your morals?", he asked.

"A girl can't just live life?", she asked.

Steven shook his head.

"You know we're still married right?", he asked.

"Yea so while we are here we might as well file for divorce", said Malaysia.

"Damn. Like that?", he asked.

"Steven, this was over two years ago", said Malaysia.

"I know but still...you sound a little harsh", said Steven.

Malaysia shrugged her shoulders.

"Don't have to get all mad that I ran your little boyfriend off", said Steven.

"He's not my boyfriend", said Malaysia.

"Stop lying", said Steven.

"Why do I have to lie. We done", said Malaysia.

"Let's be real. You know you missed me as much as missed you", said Steven.

"Really? I can't tell by the way you looked like you were about to murder my ass an hour ago", said Malaysia.

"I thought you were keeping King from me...you know how you do", he said. "But I see that he with my mama so he good. I'm not good but he is and that's all that matters"

Malaysia looked down.

"I'm sorry you had to deal with his loss by yourself", said Steven.

"And I'm sorry that you didn't have a clue", she replied.

Steven looked to the side.

"You wanna get some lunch before I leave town. I'm hungry", he said.

"...sure. Let me get my wallet", she said.

"I got mine", he said.

"Once again, let me get my wallet", she said before walking to her room.

Steven shook her head.
