                "Then the witch doctor,
he told me what to do."

"Wait, so Peter, the crazy, psychopathic Alpha who literally tried to kill us the other day, is taking our aunt on a date?" Max questioned. "God, I'm sorry but she has horrible taste in men."

"Stop it, she was really excited about this," Jade commented, a frown on her face. She rushed around her room trying to get her bag, jacket and anything else she might need. They weren't going to let Peter hurt Melissa. No matter what it took. "Stiles will be here in a sec." Pausing slightly, she spun around on her heels. "Where's my shoes?"

"There," Max said, waving a hand lazily to the corner where her boots where sat neatly.

"You ready?" Scott asked, bursting into Jade's room. There was no time to waste. Not when it was his mom at stake.

"Yep," Jade replied, lacing her boots up and grabbing her things.

"There," Max whispered, pointing towards Melissa's car that wasn't too far ahead from them. There was a traffic jam that seemed to go on for miles, stretching down along the windy road.

"Scott, this might be our cue to leave," Jade said, a hand on her car door and a foot already hitting the solid ground outside.

"What, why?" he replied.

"Well, Max and Stiles can make it look like they were going on a date or something and we have no explanation as to why we're with them, huh?" Jade raised a brow, jumping out to avoid getting attacked for her comment. The two boys in the front seats turned bright shades of pink, instantly starting to splutter out pointless protests.

"Yup, fair. Bump into the car but don't hurt them," Scott warned before jumping out of the car after his cousin. He crouched down next to her, peeking his head around a parked car that they were hidden behind. "Well played," he snickered.

"They aren't that clueless, oh my God," she whispered back, leaning on one knee to give her back a rest. Apparently she didn't have an amazing posture- actually, quite the opposite.

The sound of two cars colliding not too far away cut their conversation short. They could faintly make out Max, Stiles, Melissa and Peter all arguing in the middle of the road.

"Wow, this is just crazy what a coincidence, huh?" Stiles noted, Max laughing along nervously beside him.

Scott's ears perked up, catching Jade's attention. She hit him aggressively, earning a wince from him. Sometimes she hated not being able to hear the stuff that werewolves could. It seemed to come in a lot handier than her stupid magic that she couldn't even control.

"Peter," he hissed, rubbing his shoulder.

"You guys just came out of nowhere," Stiles commented, flinching when the woman in front of him started to scream.

"Came out of nowhere? We were parked on the side of the road!" Melissa yelled angrily. Actually no. Angry couldn't even describe what she was feeling. Livid or furious seemed like a more accurate representation.

"We should probably ring the police, fill out an accident report?" Max suggested, kicking Stiles in the shin. Hopefully he'd get that he was supposed to go along with the plan.

"Yes. Yes. Great idea," Stiles exclaimed. "Besides, I think I'm feeling a little whiplash."

"Whiplash? You hit us!" Melissa screamed. Peter began to walk away from the group, letting the argument work itself out. Jade watched her cousin with wide eyes, waiting to see what the alpha was saying.
