                  "Yeah they'll tell you now
                       you're the lucky one."

Max and Lilith were sat on the floor outside of the locker rooms, heads still reeling from what had just happened. The corridor had been temporarily cleared of all people, but that didn't mean lacrosse players from the recently finished game weren't trying to be nosy and see why the police and FBI were here. Jade had been taken into a room down the hall to give a statement, while Scott was busy talking to his dad.

"You did the right thing," Lilith spoke up, picking at their freshly manicured nails. It was a bad habit, but at least it hadn't been done professionally, so it wasn't a waste of money. Max had been unusually quiet since the whole incident where his sister nearly went off the rails again. Of course, they would never say that to his face. It wasn't Jade's fault and she wasn't blaming her, just simply stating the facts. "It didn't hurt her— you saw how quickly she woke up!"

"Yeah. You're right," Max agreed easily, shrugging to make his lie seem more plausible. He knew that Lily was right, but it didn't make him feel any better. He hadn't been expecting to use the weapon against Jade this quickly, hoping that he wouldn't be forced to use it at all. It made his stomach churn with a sickening feeling, either with guilt or from knowing that she had come that close to hurting someone again.

A door opened, a disembodied voice drifting into the hallway. "Don't worry, you've told us everything that happened. You sure you're gonna be okay?" Sheriff Stilinski asked soothingly, sympathetically patting the blonde on the back when she nodded.

"What did you tell him?" Lilith bluntly stated, trying not to sound rude but failing miserably. To say they had no patience was an understatement. She more so needed to know everything that was happening than being nosey. Given that there was so much she couldn't control in their life, that was their way of taking back that control.

"The truth. Minus the part of me trying to bump Violet off the train of life," Jade muttered, digging her knuckles into her eyes. Using her magic to that extent had seriously drained her, but it should have been expected. She had been holding onto her waning line of control ever since Allison's— since the incident at Calliope's, and exploding like that had taken everything out of her. Not to mention being temporarily knocked unconscious, but that was a battle she was willing to loose for today.

Noah reappeared again, this time joined by Jordan Parrish and Violet herself. The freshmen was being escorted down the hallway, her hands already tied behind her back with a pair of silver handcuffs. "Parrish?" the girl challenged, her voice hiding a trace of smugness that didn't go amiss by the inquisitive supernaturals.

"Deputy Parrish," he deadpanned, finding it easier to concentrate now that Coach had cleared most of the crowds out. If he was being completely honest, he was surprised at how much nerve this young girl had. She was currently being taken into custody and was— at the very least-1 going to be sent to a juvenile facility, yet she didn't seemed fazed at all.

Jade narrowed her eyes when Violet passed by, her attention finally drifting to something else.

A flash of gold. An indefinable colour that blinded her, standing out against the pale walls. An outline surrounding his body, making her stomach drop to her feet. An aura. A supernatural aura. One that she hadn't realised was there before, so faint that she had to blink to make sure she wasn't imagining it.

There was no denying that it was there, becoming clearer the longer she stared at him. A golden aura that was illuminating Jordan Parrish's frame, outlining his green deputy jacket.

"What's wrong?" Max nudged his sister in the ribs after noticing her dream like state, being careful to keep his voice low when Rafael and Noah started conversing a few metres away from them. He bit his lip anxiously, wondering if he had accidentally done something wrong when stopping her from loosing it. She did look paler than usual, but he was hoping she was just shaken up from what had happened.
