TW: Panic attack

                  "Things aren't always
                 what they seem to be."

Jade sat on the floor in Allison's room, after changing into some clean clothes. Her old ones were in the washing machine, blood stained all over them. She pulled down the sleeves of the black jumper she was wearing, her thumbs soothingly rubbing against the soft material. There was a distinct smell of vanilla lingering from it. Classic Allison. That was how you knew the girl had been in your room; she always left the smell of her vanilla body spray behind.

She'd finally calmed down after absolutely screaming the Argent apartment down in a rage and trying to strangle Lilith. She was surprised the cops hadn't been called yet. After Deucalion had told them that he knew the next group of sacrifices were guardians, she'd assumed that meant that Lilith had knew too. Stiles had dragged her into the other room, telling her to calm down after Lilith had insisted she hadn't knew anything about it.

She covered her mouth with her hand, trying to silence the sobs that were attempting to leave her mouth. She had been trying to keep a positive outlook on things, but it wasn't working. How was she meant to stay positive
when things were going this badly? Cora was dying, Noah and Melissa could already be dead, Scott had left with an Alpha werewolf and, honestly, their world had just went to shit.

She suddenly found great interest in the window when the door creaked open before closing quietly. She wiped the fallen tears away with her hand, resting her head against the wooden bed frame with pursed lips.

Allison clicked her tongue, lowering herself onto the wooden floor beside her friend. If she wanted to talk about it, they could. If she wanted to just sit there, they could do that too. Jade bit her lip, desperately trying to get a grip on herself. It didn't last long because when one tear fell, a whole stream followed. Allison held the girl in her arms, trying to comfort her, but nothing would quieten her.

They weren't sure how long they sat like that; Jade sobbing into Allison's chest while she held her. When she finally felt hollow, like she didn't have any more fight left in her, she sat up properly. The silence was broken when Allison pulled out a box of art pencils and two colouring books. It was childish, but it would keep them distracted for a while. That was all they needed; a distraction to help them not think about all the horrible things happening.

Finally sighing, she jumped up, holding the door open for the brunette as they walked through the apartment. It was a large enough place with four bedrooms, a bathroom and a kitchen that morphed into a living room.

They walked into Argent's office, the man holding a gun in his hand. "I'm carrying a .45. Maybe she can heal from a shot to the leg and a few slashes to the face, but personally, I'd like to see how she holds up with half her skull blown off. We've got one priority right now, and that's to find Melissa and Noah. We've got a map and every clue we need to figure this out. The only thing we don't have is time. Which is why I need all five of you. Yes, Lilith that includes you too."

"Where do we start?" Stiles cracked his knuckles. He was ready to get started on this. Argent was right. They didn't have time, so they needed to start forming a plan. Now. Why was it that they never had any time, when that was the thing they needed the most?

The group huddled around the desk, looking at the map through a blue light. It was a struggle; six of them around a small table wasn't exactly an easy task.

"The place where the sacrifices have been committed have usually been different from where the bodies have been found. I think the placement has to do with the strength of the current. So there's the school, the animal clinic, the bank."
