"He is so cute," Ginny sighed.

"He's not that attractive," Hermione argued.

"Who are you talking about?" Claire asked as she joined them by the Black Lake. It had been a long few days, and Draco seemed to be avoiding her. Claire had woken up two days before on the couch in the corner of the Slytherin common room, a blanket thrown over her to hide her from the other students. According to Blaise and Theo, who decided that they were now best friends with Claire, Draco didn't come back to their dorm until almost 3 am and he didn't say anything.

Claire noticed that he seemed more subdued than normal, and he only got into a small argument with the Golden Trio during Care of Magical Creatures. He was avoiding Claire and spending more time with Pansy, but she still noticed that the circles under his eyes were growing, and she knew why.

"The new boy," Ginny said with a giggle. "I thought Diggory was cute, but this boy is so much better."

"I don't know about that," Hermione said. "He's very....sharp."

"What new boy?" Claire asked, furrowing her eyebrows.

"He came last night after dinner," Hermione explained. "He's a year above us, and he's apparently still waiting to be placed in a house. We saw him this morning at breakfast."

Claire just nodded and watched the way the waves rippled as they came to shore. She had gone to breakfast early so that she could escape the dorm before Pansy could bother her.

"Why did he start almost a week after classes started?" Claire wondered.

"Apparently he's a transfer from another Wizarding school," Hermione explained. Claire nodded, but she didn't fully understand why he was allowed to come so late.

"Mione, there he is!" Ginny gasped, hitting Hermione's arm repeatedly. Claire looked up and gasped, standing up and crossing over to the bench where the boy was sitting before she even knew what she was doing.

"I see you finally found me," the boy said simply, sighing as he had to put his book down. He had sharp features and floppy brown hair, and Claire thought that he seemed much older than her. "Why don't you join me?"

"Who are you?" Claire said strongly, not yet sitting down but instead glaring at the boy who had been tormenting her dreams since the World Cup. "Why are you following me?"

"I'm Leonardo, but you can call me Leo," the boy introduced and Claire could hear a slight French accent to his voice, but he was obviously British. "And I'm not following you. I'll explain if you sit."

Claire looked back to Ginny and Hermione, who looked shocked at the girl and her sudden boldness. Ginny sent her a thumbs up while Hermione just looked confused.

"I don't have all day," Leo interrupted. Claire frowned and sat as far away from him as she could. Leo sighed and stretched out on the bench they were sitting on, basking in the little bit of sunshine that was showing through the clouds. "Don't you just love the sun?"

"I want answers," Claire demanded. Leo sent her a disappointed look that turned into a familiar smirk.

"Fine," Leo sighed. "I'm also a Moon Child. I'm here to help you."

"That's not true," Claire argued. "I'm the only one who's lived this long. And you talked about my mum, you don't want to help me."

"You're the only one that your father knows about," Leo explained, a bitter look on his face. "Do you really think Fenrir Greyback would spend years turning as many kids as he could without having a few of his own?"

Claire didn't know who Fenrir was, but the way that Leo explained him made her sure that he wasn't good.

"Why have you been following me? I know that's been your voice. You just started today," Claire asked.
