As always, going back to school was chaotic. First, Harry was upset because Umbridge had put Hagrid on probation. Then, Professor Snape had to give Harry lessons to keep Voldemort from seeing into his mind because Dumbledore was concerned about the connection, especially since Harry had seen Mr. Weasley get attacked from the snake's point of view. Claire also had to sit in on some of the lessons, which were awkward for all three of them. On top of that, the Ministry was actively pursing Sirius because they still believed that he was responsible for letting so many people escape from Azkaban. Claire was having dreams that she thought were her mother's point of view, but she always woke up before she could figure anything out.

"Claire, if you don't stop bouncing your leg I will murder you."

Claire looked up, her eyes wide and her eyebrows furrowed. Daphne rolled her eyes with a small smile on her face.

"Sorry," Claire mumbled.

"Answer our question," Theo told her, throwing a chocolate frog at her face. Claire grimaced but she was able to catch the chocolate before it fell, so she happily unwrapped it and started eating. "Which one of us is your favorite?"

The five Slytherins were all sitting in their common room. They had all been busy since all of them except for Claire were members of the Inquisitorial Squad, which they all hated.

"Umm..." Claire started, her eyes glancing over to where Draco was sitting, grinning sleepily at her. He sent her a quick wink that made her stomach flutter, but she quickly looked over to a grinning Daphne. "100% Daphne. She's the best out of all of you."

"You're my favorite too," Daphne gasped, giving Claire a kiss on the cheek.

"I'm offended," Blaise gasped. Claire rolled her eyes and leaned into Daphne's side, yawning and blinking sleepily. It was past midnight, but Claire and Draco had to patrol the hallways in an hour, so the whole group decided to stay up and hang out.

"I hate being a prefect!" Draco groaned, a grimace on his face. The professors usually did the patrols, but Professor Snape decided to make his prefects do extra rounds, which made them very upset.

"I'll take your title," Theo offered. He was lazily throwing a baseball up and down, although Claire didn't know where he got it from. Blaise grabbed the ball out of the air, making Theo pout. Blaise lazily grinned at Theo and gave it back.

"That would mean I'd be stuck with you on patrols," Claire said, her face scrunched in mock disgust. Theo mocked her and then threw another chocolate frog at her.

"Theodore Nott! Stop it or I'll put you in detention!" Claire threatened, although she wasn't too upset to get free chocolate.

"You never put anyone in detention. You always make me be the bad guy!" Draco laughed. Claire couldn't deny that she usually made Draco put people in detention, but she was usually the one who knew noticed they were doing something wrong.

"They all already hate me enough," Claire shrugged.

"I don't hate you," Daphne assured her, petting Claire's hair. The girl smiled and leaned further into Daphne's side, wanting to sleep. The full moon was coming up and she was tired from that.

"Don't steal Draco's girl, Greengrass," Blaise warned. Draco threw a pillow at Blaise's face while Claire just rolled her eyes, flicking the boy off.

"I don't know, I think we'd be cuter," Daphne responded. "But it's too bad that she's taken."

"I am not," Claire groaned. She shared an eyeroll with Draco, but they both had small grins on their faces. She blushed and tried to shuffle where no one could see her face.
