The second part of this chapter would be updated later this night or tomorrow.

"Good morning, beautiful!" Derrek's cheery voice came through my phone and I couldn't help but smile. Derrek's voice had been my alarm clock every morning for the past two years but I still got giddy everytime I heard him speak.

"Good morning, fiancé!" I replied with a giggle as I walked into my room. I settled down on the bed, advising myself against laying down. I was exhausted from waking up at 5am to begin preparations for the big day. It was already 7am and there was much still to be done. I lightly touched my newly fixed weave on and winced as the small motion caused my head to ache all the more. I really needed a nap.

"Did you get any rest or were you up all night counting down the hours until our big day?"

"I was completely knocked out for six hours but I'm still so tired." I groaned and I heard Derrek scoff from the other end.

"How could you sleep? Am I the only one excited about becoming your husband?"

"Hmm, let me think." I made a humming sound to tease him and I held back a laughter as I heard him grumble about me not loving him enough. "I'm more than excited, babe. Today, I become your wife and we would be together forever and ever and ever."

"Forever's not enough." Derrek sighed and I couldn't help but smile at just how cute my soon-to-be husband was. "I miss you, Ti. It's been a day since I saw you. I don't think I can survive any longer."

"Patience, young man. We've got three hours left and then we'd never be apart again."

"Can't I just drive over to your house and sneak a peak at you? No one has to know." He proposed and I chuckled, shaking my head.

"No seeing the bride before the ceremony. It's bad luck." I reminded him and he gave a heavy sigh.

"I guess we wouldn't want that." He said in defeat.

"No, we wouldn't."

"Okay, I'll let you go now to get ready and I'll see you at the altar at 10."

"I can't wait."

"Me neither." Derrek responded. "Thank you for letting me be a part of your life. I feel like the luckiest man in the world. I love you so much."

"I love you more." I replied, meaning it from the dept of my heart. I blinked fast as tears began to form in my eyes.

Every time I thought about what Derrek meant to me, I always got emotional. He was the best man any woman could have ever asked for. He was caring and selfless and loyal. He loved me with every fiber of his being and he proved it every single day. I couldn't think of anyone better to spend the rest of my life with.

"Take a break if you feel tired, okay? Don't over work yourself."

"Okay." I nodded.

"I'll see you soon, my love." Derrek made a kissing sound afterwards before hanging up.

I took in a deep breath and exhaled. I couldn't believe I was getting married to Derrek Dune.

"Do you, Derrek Dune, take this woman, Tiaraoluwa Digiola to be your lawfully wedded wife. To love and to hold, in sickness and in health, for better for worse til death do you part?" The officiating minister asked and Derrek smiled, never taking his eyes off me.
