Style - Taylor Swift

I should just tell you to leave, 'cause I
Know exactly where it leads, but I
Watch us go 'round and 'round each time
'Cause you got that James Dean daydream look in your eye
And I got that red lip classic thing that you like
And when we go crashing down, we come back every time
'Cause we never go out of style
We never go out of style

Fuck! You are such an idiot! How could mess up so badly? Amara was mortified by her giant slip up. She spent the whole trip back up to her room cringing with embarrassment and when she finally closed the door of her bedroom behind her and saw the open files at her desk, Amara realised that if she stayed there, Tony would definitely try to come up here and talk to her about the incident, and she really wasn't in the mood for that right now.

Instead, she decided to go out to try and find Spiderman again - it should be easier this time anyway, she knew that he would have only started patrolling about a half-hour ago so he couldn't be too far from his place that FRIDAY told her was in Queens, so she would start there.

Amara was just about to leave when she saw Happy on the phone. He had his shoes and coat on, so she assumed that he had just arrived, or he was just leaving.

Happy hung up the phone shortly afterwards and he said, "Oh, hey Amara. You heading out?"

"Hey, uncle Happy, yeah I just got home about 45 minutes ago."

"Right! How was your first day of school?"

"It was alright...but more importantly, how was your date? You never told me about it!" Amara smiled, but Happy groaned. "So, not great, then?"

"I embarrassed myself, I don't really want to talk about it, but I don't think she's gonna call me back anytime soon."

Amara gave Happy a hug and said, "Happy, I'm so sorry. But hey, it's okay, you'll find someone, and if you don't then it doesn't matter, you're better off alone than with someone who doesn't appreciate you."

"Thanks, kid."

Amara pulled away and said, "Hey, if it makes you feel any better. I just accidentally called Tony 'Dad', then practically ran away."

Happy's face showed an expression of pity as he said, "Aw Kid! We're just a bunch of walking embarrassments."

"Yes, we are. Anyway, that's why I'm leaving, I don't feel like having a conversation about that with Tony just yet."

"You better get going, then. I'll see you later?"

"Yeah, see you and good luck getting your next date," Amara said with a sarcastic smile.

"Very funny."

----------

By the time Amara had reached Queens, she had no idea where she was heading, or what her next steps would be. Amara really thought that it would be much easier to find him this time around.

But instead, she spent the better part of an hour walking around the streets of Queens, keeping FRIDAY ready to alert her of any news or footage that shows him, but, alas, nothing.

Maybe I should just go home? Amara thought until she remembered that she had made a fool of herself in front of Tony. No, let's not do that... Ugh you know what screw it, I'm gonna walk around Queens for a few hours so I can go home and go straight to sleep.

Without thinking, Amara made her way into a dark alley. The smell of rust and garbage wafted past her and she screwed her face up in disgust. Amara saw rats scurry into the nooks and crannies between brick walls, trash spilling out of nearby dumpsters, making the smell that much more unbearable. When Amara wasn't paying attention, she stepped in... something.
