No Time To Die - Billie Eilish

Was I stupid to love you?
Was I reckless to help?
Was it obvious to everybody else
That I'd fallen for a lie?
You were never on my side
Fool me once, fool me twice
Are you death or paradise?
Now you'll never see me cry
There's just no time to die.

Amara was out for most of the plane journey. Although she hadn't let on, she was still exhausted from the helicopter incident and she desperately needed time to rest.

When she woke up, they only had one and half hours left before they were scheduled to land.

When she opened her eyes, she saw Tony sat on the sofa with a remote in his hand that was controlling the movies he was flicking through.

"Morning," he said to her as he turned around to face her. "Feeling better?"

"Yeah, actually. I am," Amara said.

"Good. Cause you need your energy now."

"Yeah, I kind of forgot to ask why we're heading home."

"Right, I forgot to tell you. We're going to see your friend," Tony said, casually.

"I don't know if this is cause I just woke up or if I just understand, but why are we going to see MJ?" Amara asked, scrunching her eyebrows and rubbing her eyes.

"Not MJ!" Tony said, getting up from his seat and sitting on the seat opposite Amara. "Your other friend. What was his name?" He said trying to remember.

"Ned? Now I'm really confused," Amara said.

Tony rubbed his temples in frustration, "No! Why would we go to see-? Spiderman!"

Amara's eyes widened immediately and she sat up, "Peter?!"

"Peter! That was it!" Tony said pointing at her.

"Why do- why do we need to see Peter?"

"Why do you think?" He deadpanned. "We're recruiting him. Just for this mission, though."

"What, but, he's... wait..." Amara was stumbling over her words.

"Maybe you want to get that sentence out before we land."

"No you can't take me with you. Drop me back to the tower," Amara said, desperately.

"What are you talking about?" Tony said.

"He...he's gonna hate me," Amara said, frowning.

Tony sighed, "Okay, I'll play along. Why would he hate you?"

"Because he's gonna find out that I've been lying to him, ever since I met him."

Tony tilted his head in confusion, "Hang on, now I'm confused. I thought you told him the truth."

"Not exactly..."

"Amara!" Tony exclaimed.

"I tried so many times but it was just never the right moment or something came up and he had to leave before I said it! I can't help it!" Amara said, defensively.

"But, you came into my lab a week and a half ago begging me to let you tell him the truth. And you didn't do it?" Tony said, puzzled.

"No, I didn't get the chance!"

"You had a week and a half!"

"Just, please drop me home. I'll tell him later," Amara begged.

"Have you learnt nothing? The longer you leave it, the more betrayed and used he's gonna feel. And if he finds out that you didn't tell him even after this whole thing and you were fighting alongside each other, he'll hate you, pretty much. I'm saving you. I know it doesn't seem like it, right now, but I am," Tony said, getting up and going back to sit in front of the television screen.
