Y/N POV

So, that was it then? There was no 'serum' existing, but there was a way to make one. If Zoe did in fact already have the D-Series head, then all we needed was the arm. And we still had the upstairs of this house to check.

Turning to Ethan, I said "Right. We'd best not waste any time. Lets go." Ethan nodded and said "Right." With that, we both made our way to the the corridor off shooting from the strange altar. This lead us up a small flight of stairs where we found a door leading to a very cluttered room.

Despite how much was in there, we found nothing of importance, a strange voodoo-esque doll that I analysed saying a quick "Hmm." Before putting it back down on the table. We also found a stock of magnum ammo for me and shotgun shells for Ethan, but of which we took. Aside from that though, there was nothing more to find so we left.

After that we headed out and to the left, down another corridor where we were once again met with a door. This time though, as Ethan reached out to open it, we found it locked. There was no sign of a keyhole so how we could open it was somewhat confusing.

Looking around though, I noticed that the door was attached to an old scale, completely unbalanced with one end weighed down by a lamp identical to the one Marguerite always carried. I spoke to Ethan "Seems to open this door we'll need to balance this scale. But the question is, where can we find-."

It instantly clicked. I sighed in disgust and said "Seems we need to go back to find Marguerite's lantern. That should balance things out here perfectly." Ethan confidently said "Well what are we waiting for then? Come on."

Not bothering to voice my discontent going anywhere near Marguerite again. And things only managed to get worse, because as soon as we opened the door with the bird on it again, we heard the all too familiar groans of Marguerite, alive and well.

With our flamethrower and grenade launcher at the ready just in case, we approached the crater she'd dropped us into earlier. What we saw at the bottom shocked even ME! Which was surprising, especially after everything I'd seen during my time here.

Marguerite seemed to have disappeared at first, the black liquid from before had gone and her lantern just lay on the floor. But then, out of a narrow slot in the wood, a large skinny arm reached out, too long to belong to that of an ordinary human however judging by the growls it was obvious who this belonged to. The arm reached out, grabbed the lantern and retreated back into the hole, out of sight.

Ethan looked down before saying "Well, she's not dead then. We've got too follow her." I growled in annoyance and said "Okay. I'll go first, it may be a tight squeeze down there." With that we both leapt into the pit below and instantly navigated into the tunnel.

Up ahead we could see the silhouette of a spider-like figure crawling away. Ethan commented "What the fuck? Well that's special." We kept our weapons drawn and thankfully, the path wasn't that long, at the end we found ourselves at a single which naturally, we began climbing.

Strangely enough, the ladder lead us outside, quite a distance from the old house. I stepped forward as Ethan climbed out stating "This, I think it's the greenhouse." To that Ethan just commented "Matches the rest of this freaky place." Before stepping forward.

I followed close behind as we ascended the stairs, entering the greenhouse proper. As soon as we went inside we began looking around for anything of use. I noticed a tray full of green herbs which I knew could be used for medical purposes so I took them.
