Y/N POV

I quickly gave up trying to break the door open. It was clear the one who locked it was long gone, and they weren't coming back any time soon. Why who I assumed was Donna Beneviento had locked me in here, I don't know. But she obviously had a reason, and I dreaded what that could be.

I stepped away from the door and approached the nearby wall. With a frustrated groan, I slowly slid down it to sit on my backside. I placed my head in my hands and muttered "Mia... God, I wish you were here now."

I still had trouble grasping how it had come to this. What seemed like a peaceful family dinner, escalating to something like this. First Chris attacks, takes Rose and captures me and Ethan, the vehicle we're in crashes for seemingly now reason leaving us stranded and then this village.

The population of the village itself was extinct, since we'd arrived here we'd encountered those feral Lycan things, the bloodthirsty residents of Castle Dimitrescu and now this place. It honestly felt like Louisiana and the Baker house all over again.

I had noticed that in the weeks before this incident occurred, Mia had been acting strange. She seemed purely focussed on Rose which is to be expected of a parent, but sometimes she would become downright hostile towards Ethan.

If you remember, it was Ethan who had invited me over to that dinner. Mia actually seemed surprised, it was clear she wasn't expecting nor did she want me there. I'd confronted her about  these strange behaviours for weeks however she was always dismissive of them, acting as if nothing was wrong and that I was getting delusional.

After sitting like this for a little while more, I eventually decided there was no point just sitting here. A part of me could only hope that this room had some sort of hidden alternative exit, these places always seemed to be filled with them.

Getting back to my feet, I instantly began to scan the room. It appeared to be a small bedroom with a small single bed. A wooden bedside cupboard, a few shelves and nothing else. The room was 'landlocked' so to speak so there were no windows leading outside.

I looked around desperately, I searched the cupboard, sifting a handful of random things to the side, a small box that I opened to find nothing. I placed the box down. Next I bent down and looked under the bed.

Under here I found a doll lying there, it was strange but nothing out of the ordinary. It wasn't the same doll I'd seen Donna with, more-like the lesser ones we'd found in that room downstairs. I got back up.

Next I actually pushed both the bed and the cupboard aside, in case there was something hidden behind either of them. It took some effort but I soon managed to get both of them out of my way.

It proved all for nothing though, I felt along the wall looking for anything, a lever, a dent or anything that could lead to a possible hidden passage. But nothing, I found nothing. I stepped back and growled angrily before my attention turned to the shelves on the other side of the room, the only place I'd not searched.

Aside from another doll sat on the bottom shelf. There was nothing there as well. I thought that was it, that I'd be trapped in here until I either died or Donna finally decided to return for whatever reason. However that's when I inspected this doll. As soon as I picked it up, I noticed something.

On the back of it was a zip. I slid it open and straight away, a series of printed photographs fell out onto the floor! There were about TEN of them, littering the ground around me. I picked one up but nearly dropped it in shock!

The picture landed face-up to reveal a photo of MIA! She seemed to be either asleep or unconscious. Due to the picture being a close-up of her face, I couldn't quite make out the background behind her. I muttered "What the hell-?!" Before picking up another photograph.

My concerns, fears and confusion all increased as I saw it was yet another picture of Mia. In this one, she was awake and cradling baby Rose in her arms. It was actually the same photo Ethan had had on him, the one we'd used to get into this place, only this version was cut-down to fit a square shape.

I put that one aside and began sifting through the series of photos, most of them were of Mia, in a variety of angles and situations. Some of them seemed pretty casual, some seemed confusing and I couldn't wrap my head around them.

That's when I came to three other photos that weren't of Mia, but rather MYSELF! What made these disturbing was that they showed me performing a series of tasks during my regular day. One of them even showing me on the phone presumably during one of my conversations with Zoe. I didn't remember anyone around who could have taken that photo.

The last photo of the ten disturbed me. It showed what appeared to be a human sized doll, lying across a table, bandages were wrapped around its body and it looked like it was in mid-construction.

(Basically the image at the top, Y/N is only seeing it as a photograph.)

I instantly noted a similarity to Mia, the doll vaguely resembled her face, with brown hair to match. As I held the picture in my hand, my fingers brushed along the back and I felt something metal.

Turning this photo around, my eyes narrowed when I found a key taped to the back of it along with a message. 'Body structure model: Mia Winters.'

An eyebrow raised, the message was cryptic and I didn't understand the meaning to it however the key was something of interest. I didn't know if it specifically unlocked this door, but it was worth a try.

I removed the tape and took it to the door. Placing the key in the lock, I sighed with relief this time as sure enough the door unlocked and swung open. I was somewhat confused though, that Donna would lock me in this room yet leave the key here.

Even so, I didn't let my concerns get to me. An escape was an escape after all. I headed out into the corridor allowing the door to close behind me. Straight away, a new feeling of unease swept over me.

The entire corridor was plunged into darkness, I couldn't clearly see either side of me. Regardless, I began to step forward. And that's when I heard IT, the sound of slow footsteps heading up the corridor towards me. I froze when that voice once again returned.

"Y/N... Help me..."
