felix rushed inside of his tiny apartment smiling widely as he quickly put his things down on the kitchen counter and rushed towards his room the smile was not wearing off, this was the first time in so long he had come home this happy and excited. he quickly opened the ash-colored doors of his wardrobe and took out the same antique box from earlier
he took out his diary and unlocked it with the help of his pendant which hyunjin had helped fix, he quickly took out a pencil from his side table and turned a few pages until he was met with clean empty ones, he excitedly began to write down about this day. he was going to cherish this day for the rest of his life...well for the rest of the 57 days he has left
I never thought I'd even have a chance to fill these empty pages, but the universe doesn't hate me as much as I thought it did. ever since I've met hyunjin so many good things have happened to me, well for the most part. I can't even believe he wants to help me complete all my wishes, I didn't tell him anything about the amount of time I have left or the beautiful gift God has given me, and I don't intend to do. I know that counts as a lie and I really shouldn't lie to him but I have no other option, although hyunjin has proved me wrong on my judging I still can't believe the universe would be so nice to give me a friend who will stick around even after finding out the truth. so I'll just keep it buried inside of me I'm just so happy and grateful right now, I could burst with joy however I do plan on telling hyunjin about my truth somewhere in the future, but I'm not sure when. but it all depends on how long hyunjin decided to stick around for
felix smiled flipping the page as he wrote down the date of that day on the top of the page and then the details of today. he also didn't forget to write about the second time he had run into hyunjin, he wrote down all the details his brain could possibly recall as he smiled brightly flipping to the very first page of his diary and ticking off a few wishes
'maybe, just maybe I will be able to complete these in two months'____
"honey" hyunjin's mother softly spoke sitting beside her husband who was working on something on a laptop "yes?" he spoke voice rough and stern, she gulped taking her eyes off of her husband and staring out the wide glass window which they were sitting by "it's such a pretty night out, how about you take a short break and enjoy a glass of wine with me?" she suggested but her husband was quick to refuse letting her down once again
"I can't, I've got too much work and you're just wasting my time here" she looked down in her lap sadly "if there's something you wanted to talk about say it here and now don't sugar coat it with you stupid romance" he muttered taking a sip of his hot coffee which was now cold due to being left there for so long "bullshit" he spoke gulping down the cold liquid
"make me a cup of coffee while you're at it" he handed her his mug and signaled towards the door for her to leave "before I go" she spoke up finding it hard to stare at him "I wanted to talk about something" she held tight onto the mug she was holding "make it quick" he spoke not even glancing at her for a second "you can pull some strings and help hyunjin graduate from school earlier...he's twenty already he should be in the office right now with a wife don't you think?"
her husband scoffed "I could do that, but I won't. he wasted all those years just to get back at me and I will get back at him for that, he had so much potential but he wasted it around like it meant nothing, such a bright kid he used to be but ever since...ever since he has realized that he would have to follow into my steps he has turned into this dumb little rebel who has no purpose of living" hyunjin's father spoke finally looking up to meet his wife's gaze
"and I will not let him waste away his life, my brother did this too. and look where he is now living in a suburban neighborhood with his stupid wife who can't even give birth to a goddamn child" he laughed at his brother's life, but his brother was probably happier than he was. and perhaps hyunjin wasn't blind enough to not see that
"While I live in a mansion, with you and that good for nothing son. at least the world believes we're perfect" he smiled at the comments he was making "and as long as my reputation lives, I live" the lady in the room was devastated to hear what her husband thought but she knew it long ago "he has to bite the dust to know that my decisions were and will always be correct"
he proudly smirked____
hyunjin lied down in his bed a soft smile tugging at his lips, his heart was beating at a speed with which he was unfamiliar. memories of earlier today rushed through his brain as if he was flipping through a pile of pictures 'that boy really is something' he didn't want to call felix his friend just yet but he didn't know how to label it either, he liked the feeling of having a stranger he could talk to by his side
suddenly, a ding sound brought him out of his world as he switched on his phone and stared at the screen, it was a message from an unknown number saying 'it's felix :) you told me to text you when I get home' hyunjin bit his lower lip trying to stop his smile from growing even more
"let's stop here" felix spoke softly turning to stare at hyunjin who nodded, felix couldn't help but notice how charming the other boy's entire presence was. he even walked so handsomely and felix was one sucker for it, he took a quick glance at the ravenette's posture and admired the way he stood. hands inside his jeans pockets while he stared back at felix gallantly
"you live...on the street?" hyunjin questioned looking around as he couldn't sight a single house. only plain walls surrounding the dark street, felix chuckled softly "no, I live a few blocks ahead" hyunjin nodded he wanted to drop the other male at his house but thought it wasn't appropriate to persist in walking him home as he has clearly shown he wasn't too fond of the idea
"okay well um, text me when you get home" hyunjin spoke while he took a glance at felix before turning around to walk away "uh hyunjin" felix spoke stopping the boy in his tracks "yes?" he asked turning around "I don't have your number" felix awkwardly chuckled making hyunjin stare at him then speak "I didn't think of that" hyunjin muttered under his breath
"give me your phone" hyunjin spoke and felix followed gladly "here" the boy uttered handing hyunjin his phone, while hyunjin dialed his number in felix took this time to admire the tall boy's facial features which were shining brightly in the moonlight, the shadows from the dark night and dimly lit street and the highlight from the moon and stars it was all making him look utterly handsome
"hmm," hyunjin hummed handing Felix his mobile phone back as felix smiled softly putting it back in his pocket "so um...bye" felix whispered raising his hand to wave goodbye, hyunjin nodded standing there watching over the brunette who turned around to walk away. a soft smile stuck on his face
after a few steps, felix turned to glance back at hyunjin who was still standing there watching him walk away and this sweet gesture of hyunjin made his heart skip a beat, hyunjin took out his hand from his pocket and waved at felix who waved back smiling even brighter this time
hyunjin took in a deep breath as he opened the message app and stared at the text for a moment unaware of what to reply with he continuously bit on his thumb's nail before finally coming up with what to text back with 'okay' and he finished it off with a thumbs-up emoji before pressing send he stared at the screen for a split second before throwing his phone in his lap and cursing
"God why am I such a fucking loser" he muttered under his breath grabbing his head____
