A silver bracelet wrapped around Hyunjin's wrist gleaming in the glow of moonlight-that's the last thing Felix remembers seeing before he fell into a slumber, and when he woke up he was graced by Hyunjin's sleeping face, a feeling of utter bliss it was to wake and find something this enchanting being just laying next to you, holding you so protectively that even Ares, the god of war couldn't do anything to harm you. Like even Hephaestus couldn't burn you, like Thanatos was nothing but a mere force that had nothing against Felix, like the clock that existed above Felix's head wasn't his creation

and even through these delights, one thing occupied his mind the most: should he try this treatment? Should he walk past his fears and agree to something that petrified him for reasons he was yet to fathom? and he could only really agree in the end when his thoughts reminded him of the countless minutes the two boys have spent together and how they didn't seem like enough, how he wanted more and more with him

Hyunjin-upon the declaration- was appeased of course to hear the news but he reminded Felix that he should make this decision on his own and that he can take more time if he required, Felix knew Hyunjin was trying to make sure he was comfortable and deep down he truly wanted Felix to agree but that wasn't why he was agreeing to this. he was agreeing to this so that he can live, for Hyunjin and with Hyunjin. he was going to die anyway, maybe going through this scary procedure might actually help him?

"I'm doing this because I want to, Jinnie. don't worry" he had flashed the raven head a beautiful smile that convinced him he was genuinely alright with this

"Then all I can do is promise to be here, by your side so all your fears would be irrelevant" his own smile had been copied by Hyunjin who ruffled his hair with a kiss on his forehead, and Felix was sure that if he lived, he was marrying this boy.

The scent of roses had always been something Felix found beautiful, it was enchanting to him despite how common it was. he had told Hyunjin how the smell of medicine reminded him of things he'd rather bury and move past, to which Hyunjin had offered him an arm around his waist because he was already holding his hand and his jacket that was sprayed with a cologne which was heavily based on roses, he told Felix he had only worn this jacket once and had drowned himself in ladies' perfume purposefully to piss off his Father

he had quested if Felix wanted the jacket or something else to comfort him while they made their trip to the hospital and Felix declined, the jacket and Hyunjin's arms around him were enough of a bliss to him.

Sitting in front of Chan in this very hospital room where almost every time death was the only thing being discussed, one way or another, Felix didn't feel half as uneasy as he dreaded he would, perhaps Hyunjin's tactics were really working. the Doctor was incredibly glad Felix had agreed and handed over the paperwork with much delight. running his eyes over the words written on the paper while Hyunjin ran his hands on his back Felix remained quiet "So I'll have to shave my head?" Felix questioned with surprise as he looked up at Chan with widened eyes, the doctor licked his lips and nodded

Chan was aware how desperately the brunette wanted to appear normal, hence why he would stop his medication oftentimes because they made his hair fall out, and now that he's going through the treatment his dread is inevitable "I-" "You can either choose to shave your head or just let it thin out by itself" Chan explained, now in hindsight it doesn't sound half as assuring as he assumed it would. Hyunjin's grip on Felix's hand tightened "Once he's recovered and done with treatment it'll grow back out right?" Hyunjin questioned "Yes, absolutely!" Chan tried his best to sound as bright as he could, praying some of his positivity would seep into Felix
